Used as a backdrop for countless films and TV shows, downtown Los Angeles is one of the world’s most recognized skylines. This area’s landmarks include the LA Convention Center, the Staples Center, and Dodger Stadium. Post-modern architecture takes center stage at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Nearby, Chinatown and Little Tokyo lie east of City Hall.

Hotel was a disaster -- sort of like a prison. View from my room was a cinder block wall -- 6 feet away. No light in the room. A spa with no service -- and the staff had no idea when/if they would open. Breakfast was less than adequate -- no fruit, no yogurt -- although I was charged a daily fee for the privileged. DON'T stay at the O Hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beware the hidden charges"
While my stay was ok, the hotel did not clearly communicate their daily "resort fee". I don't understand why they don't simply add this non-negotiable fee to your daily room rate vs. play games & add it separately. Due to this fact, I cannot recommend and will not stay at the O Hotel againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not like the pictures!!"
Really can't believe I paid nearly $200 for one night at this hotel! Our room looked NOTHING like ANY of the pictures online - it looked more like a 'hostel' room - basic, very small with nothing in it! When I checked in there was a lady at reception that clearly was meant to be cleaning the hotel not working behin the front desk - she had no idea what […] she was doing. It was busy with walk ins and people including me trying to check in - I stood there for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. She agreed to upgrade me but couldn't do it without the manager approval who took another 10 minutes to appear and then tried to charge me $20 for an upgrade! The hotel is in a great location and parking is only $12 but still I would NEVER stay here again - $200 for a 'hostel' looking room is really not on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awful Hotel"
I have never left a bad review for anything in my life, but I felt I had to about this hotel. I feel like it is misleading that is a 3.5 - 4 star hotel when really it should be a 1-2 star hotel. Had a terrible experience with this hotel. My girlfriend and I checked in on Saturday night around 8:30 pm for a 1 night stay during the LA Auto Show. When […] we drove up there is no valet or directions on where to park. We found a parking structure next door and checked in. The hotel room itself is small which is fine. But the rooms are tiny. Everything about the room was small. Bathrooms super small and the sliding door on the bathroom was broken. The iPod radio clock was also broken. So not a good initial impression. We went out to dinner then came back around 11:00 to go to bed. The problem was that the walls are paper thin and there was a raging party going on somewhere on one of the floors above us. And a bunch of people partying in the apartment building right next door to our window only about 10 feet away. We made 4 calls to the front desk and they said they knew where the noise was coming from and would do something about it. Well they never did. At 12:30 am we were so disgusted that we packed up and left the hotel and went over to the JW Mariott (which was nice). Overall I am just upset that I paid for this hotel that was somehow rated 3.5 stars. There is no way in the world this hotel should be rated that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Terrible Hotel"
The bathroom was too small, the shower had no door with a hand held shower which wet the floor. The room had a loud outside air compressor which ran the entire time night and day. The restaurant downstairs was so loud you could not hear anything and the garbage trucks came at 4am every morning. I stay in LA at least once per year, I would never stay […] in this hotel again. "Not service dog friendly"
My wife has a disability requiring a service dog. The man who checked us in, was very friendly and agreeable to the service dog; but after that, I felt like everyone else resented us. Some things didn't work in the room. The refrigerator didn't work at all, and the heating/cooling system wouldn't heat; all it did was blow cold air. When I called the […] front desk, I was told they couldn't do anything about it and that they couldn't switch us to another room because it was full. Sure didn't seem full, there was hardly anyone there. Then they added extra charges that we knew nothing about. Everything pointed to them no liking the fact that we had a service dog. Note, the service dog didn't cause a problem at all. We could have stayed at other hotels for 1/3 the price, but we wanted a nice hotel. We would have been better off at Motel 6, Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Extra $12 fee"
A $12 charge was added to our hotel stay as a convenience charge for water, gym membership and continental breakfast. I did not ask for this charge and only found out about it when I was checking out of the hotel room the next day. I think if they are going to require an additional charge then it should be included in the hotels.com fee or written as […] a side note on the website. The bathroom also had a sliding translucent door allowing other hotel guests to see your shadow on the toilet, which is a little awkward no matter how long you've been married :-) I would not recommend this hotel. "O Hotel downtown LA"
Room and shower are very small and not very clean.Do not let the decoration fool you. I and my wife checked in at 11 PM and hoping to get some sleep and check out at 9 AM. No sleep as the room seems to be inside an engine room. And we woke up with sound of the garbage truck outside at 5 AM. I do not know why they use RED lighting inside the elevatoor. "DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!"
We stayed here because we attended a Laker game. The only good thing about this place was that it was within walking distance to the Staples Center. Upon our arrival, we were checking in and the front desk agent was on the phone and did not acknowledge us until he was off. It was apparent that they were in the middle of something. The decor was something […] out of a horror movie. I got the vibe that there was something eerie about the place. Honestly, I felt like I was in the middle of a porno shoot. The entire place smelled of cheap perfume. The room had this vibe as if someone was murdered there. IT REALLY GAVE ME THE CREEPS!!!! 5 minutes into our stay, we heard screaming from a woman in the hall who was in a physical fight with a man. We called the front desk, and they came to our door!! Really? After we returned from the game, it was more of the same. There was banging on our wall all night. So fed up, we checked out at 5 in the morning to drive home. We will never stay here again! "Hotels.Com fix your rating!!"
Hotel was boutqiue like, however, it was very dark in the halls, the hotel rooms were very old, the tile and carpeting were very old, worn dirty and stained. The rooms smelled of mold, mildew and heavy cleaning fluids.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not many good things to mention"
I chose this hotel for being mentioned as a new, boutique hotel but I was disappointed in most aspects. The location was close to the metro station but the surrounding neighborhood was scary - homeless people, darkness, I did not walk around the hotel after dark. The small size of the room is fine, but it was too dark - I couldn't even read a book […] in bed. The shower was dirty with hair from the previous guest on the shower wall, cracks in the bathroom wall as well. Carpet was stained. The room I was given was right in front of the elevators and was very noisy. You could hear the music from the first floor and people chatting in front of the elevators at 3am woke me up. Although I put the "do not disturb" sign on my door, a hotel staff knocks late at night while I was asleep to bring a food menu I haven't even asked for. Elevator has red lighting which is really awful - I took the stairs instead several times. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"2-star hotel at best"
This hotel is trying it's hardest to "look" like an LA hot spot or something, but it misses the boat on most fronts. Service is awful, many details overlooked, inlcuding lightbulbs out, shower is only a handheld, about 10 TV channels, etc. They also scam you into a "service charge" but neglect to tell you at check-in it will be there and that it covers […] breaskfast. Scary location in the heart of Skid Row. Paid for nothing. DO NOT stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Worst Night At Any Hotel I Have EVER Stayed At"
We had a horrible time at the O Hotel. The hotel room was half as large as what we had anticipated by looking at the pictures online. There were bars on the window. The wireless internet did not work. It was in an unsafe part of town. The worst experience was that when we ultimately cancelled our reservation after staying there for a night. We werent […] able to give 24 hrs notice and were therefore charged for another nights stay. We asked the hotel manager to please wave that fee and he lied to us, saying that he did not control whether that fee was waived or not. We spoke to our expedia representative who called him and he then refused to the expedia agent to drop the charges. The worst part was that when we called back to have him justify why he would not drop the charges he avoided our phone calls like a child. The hotel was unclean, unsafe, far from every tourist destination, and the management was highly unprofessional. Do not go to this hotel. Please go anywhere else instead. "おすすめしません"
まずチェックイン時に誰も人が居らず、30分ほど待たされました。室内は清潔ですが、ティッシュの備え付けがございません。恐らく清掃の方が置き忘れたのだと思いますがずさんです。カードキーの磁気が消えやすく、毎日書き換えをお願いせねばなりませんでした。最後に、Hotels.comの表示とは別にサービス料として$14/日請求されました。従業員のモチベーションも低めです。Genuine Hotels.com guest review
