From its hills to its sidewalks, the stars are everywhere in Hollywood. Although most film and TV production today takes place in Burbank, Hollywood retains its mystique. The elite are commemorated with stars on the Walk of Fame and cement handprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. I reserved this room for my kids who were attending at the Palladium on Halloween night. They were happy with the room as a place to crash after the concert then after a trip to Universal the next day. The lady they dealt with was very nice, she even blocked a parking space in the lot with a cone so they wouldn't have to park in the street. My daughter […] who is used to staying at 4 star hotels deemed it "not bad for what it is" and didn't have any complaints other than it was noisy but it was Halloween so that's to be expected. I'm making another reservation for them now so they can attend another concrt. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good look"
There was a pool but the water is too cold to enter in the pool. Breakfast is not good, even the bread and milk is out, no further supply. Cleaning of room is very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Looks nicer in picture."
Wont stay here again. @$90, the room was way too expensive for where it was located and neighborhood a disaster! Room was crowded, Imma try to stay closer to the hollywood walk of fame next time. I would have paid $60-$70.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location"
Over all good hotel to stay in for one night. But the beds were quite hard, breakfast was a bit poor and it was very hot in the room during the night since the ac did not work. But the location was excellent just 5 min from metro station!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok for a short stay - no frills"
We needed a hotel close to the Pantages theatre so we didn't have to drive home late after the show. It was nice to check in and get dressed at hotel and make it to dinner and show with no stressful traffic driving. Best thing: the room had laminate flooring which was nice change to the yucky hotel carpets.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Me & my friend stayed here for 1 night before heading to Santa Barbara. The hotel was cute, nice pool outside, rooms were clean. It was a good location but the neighborhood was pretty shady. We didn't feel very comfortable walking around there @ night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequate at the price"
This hotel was conveniently located for our purposes, close to the subway, and quite reasonable at the price. The room was clean, although it had sort of a dissinfectant smell that was a bit annoying, although I suppose it could have been worse, and my wife barely noticed it. The "Continental Breakfast," was basically donuts, cereal, coffee and juice, […] but again, fine for what the room cost. I'd stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"One night at Hollywood city inn"
The hotel's biggest plus and minus is the location. Its 10 minutes away from the walk of fame and kodak theater. But at the same time in a not so clean neighborhood. There is a community correction center within 0.2 mile of the hotel. Anyway, that said, objectively the hotel itself tries to give the most in the small property. A pool, a tiny breakfast […] area(aka front desk) and so many rooms. The person at the front desk was polite , there was just enough parking. The room smelled of cheap freshener or a strong detergent. Oh well.. but the beds were comfortable. Noisy tourists from the pool could be heard which is not what you need after a long drive. Its a good place to crash. Remember its more an Inn than a hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was decent. Good central Hollywood location. Room was fine. Like that the doors were interior. Gated free parking lot. Staff could have been much friendlier and accommodating. It was almost as if we were bothering them checking in. Also, "free continental breakfast" is coffee and donuts.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Budget Hotel, Good Location"
My wife and I stayed at this hotel 4/27-4/30 2011. Had seen good reviews online and for the most part they add up to what we experienced. Spray paint on the awning out front was a big turn off, but the rest of the hotel was acceptable. The room was clean, bathroom a bit rundown with some grunginess in the corners, older pipes. Bed was very hard. Location […] was incredible, very close Hollywood and Vine if you want to see tourist stuff. Surrounding neighborhood was a bit seedy, dirty. Free continental breakfast was nice, Starbucks is one block away if you're a coffee snob like me. But hotel coffee was better than average. Parking a little limited, but street parking cool at night if you're willing to move your car by 9Am or drop coins in the meter. We would certainly stay here again. "Good Value for the Money"
As planned, we stayed here for one day in January 2011. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel near Hollywood, this is the place for you. It was average as far as hotels go, but clean enough, and had nice in-room amenities, i.e., microwave, refrigerator, etc. They also served a continental breakfast. The only complaint I can think of is, the volume […] on our television either didn't work, or was pre-set to low. We called for someone to come look at it, but they never did. It also had a very nice pool, but it wasn't warm enough for us to make use of it. Would recommend it to someone looking for a good value for the money, but no "frills". "Good location for short stay."
Stayed 2 nights here for a business trip. For price and location, you can't go wrong. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a bit old and shown signs of wear, but was kept clean. There's a ton of roach motels around LA, this was not one of them. Just older, not a bad thing if you aren't too picky. Free parking in a secure lot. Breakfast […] included coffee, donuts, croissants, coffee buns & cereal. Some hotels advertise free continental breakfast and all you get is coffee with fake creamer and maybe a donut (if you're lucky). The courtyard and pool area was nice, but didn't hang there. Surrounding area is a bit sketchy, not the kind of place you want to wonder with your family late at night. But during the day it seemed cool. Just a short walk away from Starbucks, drug store, grocery & a Dennys. 5-10 minutes from all the main attractions you come to Hollywood for. Compared to the hotel I had to stay the night after, wish I stayed 1 more night. Overall, for the budget minded business traveler, this is a good pick. If you're after luxury, on a family trip, perhaps you'd prefer to spend a bit more and stay at nicer place. However this place was not bad by any means. I'll be back next time I'm on business for sure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice staff but the hotel is really worn down."
The hotel staff was friendly. The room was smelly - because we ordered a non-smoking I suspect they gave us a smoking room sprayed with some air-freshener. The sheets literally had wear holes in them. One of our comforters was thorn. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. No coffee maker though. It was one of the cheapest places that I […] found online in LA so I probably should not complain, however we stayed in other budget hotels in San Francisco and along the coast in CA and they were much better. The neighborhood was ok, grocery and pharmacy close by. There were doughnuts for breakfast, plain cereal, orange juice and coffee in the reception early in the morning. We bought our breakfast outside of the hotel and realized that probably we should have spent $15 more and stay somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Youll need a car"
Having read quite a few reviews about this Hotel I would confirm that although its location is adequate youll need a car to be able to get around - thats true for anywhere in LA. The Hotel would only get a 2 star rating in Europe but if you just need a place to sleep then this is fine, perhaps the Breakfast could be improved thoughGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Price benefit ratio perfect"
After reading all comments on Expedia and other websites, I was a little worried. But I was lucky to get one of the rooms around the pool. Newly furnished. Everything clean except one big bug on a wall. Besides that no visible dirt or other fails. Internet was fast enough to surf and check emails but nothing more. I did not look for breakfast, therefore […] I cannot give a statement. ONE BIG DOWNSIDE: The first morning at 7 am, workers started renovating, hammering and the like in the room next door. Given the very very thin walls, it sounded like a war is happening right next to my bed. I had the impression that it was louder in my room than in the room where it actually happened. After notifying the reception, I was simply informed that they are aware that these things happen and there is nothing they can do. That was very disappointing. In summary, at least the close distance to the metro station and the clean appearance in the room was great. TV reception perfect. A hair dryer would have been nice. The neighborhood becomes dangerous after 10pm according to a statement of a cab driver on the day of my arrival. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
