Tiny uncomfortable room. Looks like an old Holiday Inn.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Noisiest place ever"
The hotel was nice, the location was the worst place I ever stayed. Right next to 405 freeway, could not sleep all night because of the passing traffic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I thought this hotel would be conveniently located next to UCLA but due to the construction reaching the hotel was nearly impossible due to all of the traffic redirection. Fortunately I was only there for one evening but during this very short period of time I was unable to access the internet, erroneously charged for wine and surprised by the morning […] power outage (while in the shower). The power was still out when I left that morning. The staff wasn't apologetic for any inconvenience and claimed that they had no idea why there was no power. Fortunately I was only on the 5th floor - I had to lug my baggage down the stairs, which also exited out back near the parking lot. You needed to come back to the front of the hotel to return to the lobby. Their cafe did not have any hot beverages and if you purchased anything, they only accepted cash. You may want to think twice before booking, at least until the construction on the 405 has finished, to prevent any surprises. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
From the start everything went wrong with our stay: 1. Valet Parking: Staff was so negligent, they ended up damaging the passenger side mirror. the way supervisor and the staff handled is so awful.. suggesting that they are so used to do doing this to customers. 2. Incorrect billing: charged bistro charge that doesn't belong to us.. when questioned.. […] the response was - OK, we will look into it 3. So dusty.. cleanliness is an issue 4. When we had an issue with shower.. Support staff treated us like we don't know how to use the shower 5. Fitness center is smelly and poorly maintained 6. Rooms are so small 7. Overall - it is NOT family friendly, service in all aspects is VERY POOR. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Do not stay at this hotel."
Stay anywhere else. Terrible experience. Staff was unresponsive. Phone calls frequently not answered. Room service sent the wrong order or left off ingredients several times. Once they even asked me to come upstairs and pick up my order, because their room service person had "left early or something." Wifi dropped out and was slow when working. CNN […] didn't work. The bill they provide for incidentals is unreadable. Endless little fees for "ADJ DELIVERY FEE" and "BISTRO FEE." Impossible to know if you're paying what you should. There was major, all night, freeway construction at the hotel. We heard it all night and could not stay the second night. The hotel should be closed during the construction or they could pay the customers to stay at their hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overbooked hotel ignored your reservation"
I booked a king room months ago and when we arrived the hotel gave us a twin(?) handicapped room on the fourth floor. When we asked about it we were told that they were overbooked and could not guarantee our room type.... But I paid for a king room... Then they said they could give us a different room the next day. When I called the next day thy said […] that they could see what they had available, but not until after 4pm. When I called in the evening they said the manager was not available and asked if I would be around tomorrow. I called the Next morning at 8am and they said the manager was still not in and asked if I could wait in my room. We waited until 11 with no call. Never got a room upgrade and although the room was comfortable, the air conditioner was weak and we woke up hot. It was onlt highs if 75 that week. I can also agree with the other reviews that the noise from the highway was annoying. Another note: we only had 3 pillows and no ironing board. I called for these things at 8pm.... Waited until 11pm and then went to bed. We never got them. Breakfast was good, but expensive. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"If you won't peace and quiet, DON"T STAY HERE!"
We had a terrible visit at this hotel and will never stay there again. Pros: Close to UCLA. Con's: 1. VERY NOISY. It is sandwiched between Sunset Blvd. and the 405 freeway. If you want to open the window you have to listen to traffic. No matter which room you have, you are hanging over traffic on all sides. 2. Customer service was inconsistent. When […] I called and asked for a feather free room, I was told it wasn't a problem at all. Booked the room. When I arrived a week later after having surgery, the lady at the front desk acted as if I was speaking another language. First I was told they can only remove the feather bedding from certain rooms, and my room wasn't one of them. Then she put me in a room right over the freeway. I requested to move rooms, got a slightly quieter room, but she would not have the feathers removed. I finally stayed in the room and consequently woke up with surgery pain and a massive sinus headache from the feathers. We would have moved hotels but this one had already been paid for. 3. The restaurant was VERY EXPENSIVE. The buffet breakfast didn't exist, and you had to drive to go anywhere else to eat. 4. The refrigerator in the room is jam packed with alcohol and drinks, leaving you no where to put your own refrigerated items. 5. They were stingy on the coffee in the room, leaving us one packet for two people. Overall, I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Rigid Hotel. Horrific Staff. Nobody ever has the answer to a question. Continual passing the buck/ no follow through. Unfair charges.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I like this hotel chain however staying in close proximity to the 24/24 busy hwy 405 is not my idea of a comfortable choice. i hated the staff, car parking guys and front desk people who were long on attitude and short on help. I would not go back again. the rooms were comfortbale and the maids were darling. It's too bad that they are so close to teh […] 405. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not if it was the last hotel on earth"
Arrived and went direct to the room. It stank, toilet was leaking, curtains had holes and the tables were chipped. Changed room, this one also stank but the good news was the air con drowned out the noise of the freeway, we just couldn't sleep with it on. I guess they haven't heard of double glazing. We checked out first thing the next morning.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Angeleno, LA - Truth in advertising - beware"
- It would be nice if advertising said it is ON the expressway with raw expressway traffic noise in most rooms coming through ancient wall HVAC units that create a precious experience of being outside in the middle of the traffic 24/7 ... - One of two elevators working - advertised gym consists of one tired noisy treadmill and a couple of other pieces […] of equipment with no access to water two days in a row (early in the am) - Understaffed Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overbooked and gave us either an option to go to another hotel or a handicaped accessable room, took the room on site and the toilet backed up into bathroom...horrible experienceGenuine Expedia guest review
"Deeply disappointed with the Angeleno"
I was referred to this hotel as a good hotel but found the experience to be terrible. Overall I equate the staff to be very rude from the front desk, coffee shop to the waiters in the rooftop restaurant. I do have to say the bartender during the day was awesome! I was given a room on the 405 freeway side and you have to have the TV on level 40 to hear […] it. Of course traffic if 24 hours but do not stay here if you want to sleep past 6 AM! I paid $5 for a bottle of water in my room and on day 2 they did not replace the coffee or water. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
