Used as a backdrop for countless films and TV shows, downtown Los Angeles is one of the world’s most recognized skylines. This area’s landmarks include the LA Convention Center, the Staples Center, and Dodger Stadium. Post-modern architecture takes center stage at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Nearby, Chinatown and Little Tokyo lie east of City Hall.

Just an overnight stay but worked very well for our needs. Maybe just needs some aesthetic improvements, otherwise a nice place and staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent rate and nice room"
Just realize you are in LA and always subject to the chaos of the city. Upon arrival the staff was helpful and polite. When we arrived in our room we opened the drapes and bore witness to the chaos of the city. While casting our gaze upon the skyline our attention suddely focused on the activity on the adjacent top floor parking structure. Apparently […] two socially clueless products of the LA Unified School District choose to make a semipublic spectacle by fornicating in front of the entire upper floors on the West side of the building. Other than the previously stated National Geographic type activity occuring the hotel was fine. The restaurant was very good. Many selections of cold sake as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel, just keep the drapes closed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"close to federal court house"
For business at the federal court house, the location is wonderful. The bed and pillows were exceptional. The overall cleanliness was good, but some minor upkeep was lacking. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The lounge offers little entertainment and for some reason charges to sit at the table and chair but not at the bar. There are plenty […] of restaurant offerings nearby and we did not stay long enough to experience many. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This hotel is a very peaceful place. Excellent service & stay This was my 2nd stay at this hotel and surely not my last .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location and Clean Hotel"
The only problem with this hotel was the bathroom. the drain system of the faucet did not work well and pressure on the shower head was too strong. Unless they improve on this matter, I will probably not return to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, friendly stay in downtown LA"
I arrived early, but my room was ready; staff extremely pleasant and a very good Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor. Walking distance to the Disney Concert Hall, which was our main mission in LA.Genuine Expedia guest review

the miyako is an elegant hotel, well situated in downtown, walkeable from railway station and most downtown landmarks. One thing they lack is PBS or news station on the TV, as very few channels. Our advice: do not have breakfast at the coffee bar in their lobby - lousy croissants, lousy coffee, and plastic utensils. we know this is not run by hotel, […] but a classy hotel should chose a better concessionary. "Great Location!"
I was on a bussiness trip and booked my hotel here in the center of Little Tokyo. The proximity to Japanese restaurants and shops was the best part of the hotel. The hotel was very clean however I was not very impressed by the beds or the decor considering I stayed in an Executive Suite. I will definately be returning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place"
Clean and comfortable hotel in a convenient downtown location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good access to downtown LA"
Good to be so close to Little Tokyo for restaurants. In spite of LA's disdain for public transportation this is one area where it is workable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to ramen noodles!"
will do it again when my job puts me in the downtown location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room had been well cleaned prior to my stay so the bedsheets and towels were fresh and new. However, the shower and bathroom could use some updating and a deep clean. It was good for the price and served me well in a great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Coolcoolcool."
Many restaurants, and very lively at night. Just walk around and there are plenty of things to check out on the block around the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice but still has a budget feel"
Enjoyed the stay for the most part but the room and furniture felt old. Staff was great, neighborhood fun, etc. but I've stayed in nicer hotels for less (location notwithstanding). Thumbs up but not a resounding "yes!".Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Outstanding"
This was a very nice hotel in Little Tokyo that provided a nice experience that is somewhat immersing yourself in a few blocks of Tokyo. The hotel is a little old which is why I gave it a 3, but I will definitely stay there everytime I go to LA. The hotel is close to a Japanese mall, Budhist temple, and a Japanese bakery and stores. The service was […] great as the vehicle attendant remembered my name and even gave me great directions to go to my destinations. The staff was very nice, but the parking is a bit expensive...like everywhere else in that area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Spacious rooms, good option for CMC events."
I wasn't expecting much of the hotel. However I was pleasantly surprised, our room was really spacious and with a great view. The area "little tokyo" is small but intresting, there are a couple shops and good restsurants. Cafe Dulce was the absolute highlight, just delicious! This hotel is a good option for people attending trade shows at the california […] market center. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We chose it for the location - a few blocks from the center of LA, where our son lives in a loft. If you want the lumber-jack breakfast rather than the continental breakfast in the lobby, you'll have to walk a few blocks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent hotel for the price"
The rate was pretty reasonable. The location not so much. Its in Tokyo or china town however you call it. The rooms are clean and service is great. Parking by valet is pricey for unlimited in and out. If you think you will use the unlimited thing its worth it, otherwise i would self park. The gym was under construction and they did not offer any other […] gym options which was disappointing. We did not like the breakfast which was also expensive. The breakfast looked more like a traditional Japanese style. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Hidden Gem in Little Tokyo"
My family and I booked 2 rooms for 4 days at this hotel. It is centrally located when you want to go to Universal, Hollywood, staples, china town and Six Flags since a subway station is just a walking distance away. The hotel is also near food places. Hotel offers free computer use and unlimited printing at the business corner at the lobby. Tips: When […] looking for a hotel in downtown LAX, dont hesitate to book this hotel. LAX has a good subway system although not as commuter friendly compared to HongKong, china, or other developed countries in Asia. So if in doubt, ask. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"convenient downtown location"
This is not your luxury hotel, but it's reasonable and comfortable accommodation, right in the heart of Little Tokyo. Executive rooms on the higher floors are nicely decorated with a modest, contemporary Asian touch. My husband and I stay here whenever we have a concert to go to at the Walt Disney Hall. During the day we visit MOCA among other area […] attractions, all within a walking distance. As a Japanese native, I can say Sushi Gen near the Hotel can be counted as one of the best in LA.
