"Excellent LA acommodation"
Hotel Palomar fully lived up yo expectations! Service was outstanding and we were upgraded upon arrival which made our initial impressions even better. Very neat, clean, elegant hotel, very nice staff, clean rooms. Only main problem: Room was right across a linen closet, and staff was extremely loud (banging noises) at early hours in the morning. Also, no tea/coffee in room, although it was available in lobby in the mornings. Also staff forgot to charge us for valet parking. Yey. "Excellent location! Comfortable stay, A+ service!"
We checked in a little late, but we wish we had spent more time there. The staff was pleasant and the room was so comfortable. It was very clean, perfect room temperature. We called down for a beer or two, but since it was already past 1:30am, they had no access to the bar. The staff member was so accommodating, he offered to bring up a complimentary […] bottle of wine and two glasses. He mentioned that the bottles are usually for their 4-6pm happy hour, but that he felt bad they did not have access to any alcohol. I thought that was so thoughtful...I apologize, in advance, if I am getting anyone in trouble!!! In general...Kimpton Hotels are amazing. They are chic, contemporary and always very well maintained. The hotel room was very nice and clean and I would recommend staying at the hotel. It had a very "gourmet" breakfast, which meant that they didn't have ANY maple or regular syrup for the french toast/pancakes - they only had guava syrup. I thought this was a little strange. Nice hotel. Didn't get to partake in free wnie evenings or free coffee in the mornings. Beds very comfortable and Wifi worked well. Staff were friendly and courteous, hotel was nice. Not too much more to say. Not an exceptional hotel, rooms not overly special. Disappointing not to get comlpimentary water in the rooms but there is a water tap and plastic […] cups in the lobby if you are thirsty on arrival. The automatic air conditioning is quite loud when it comes on - rather than constantly staying at a low level to maintain an average temperature it comes on in a strong blast to get the desired temperature then turns off again. It was a little loud so we left it off overnight which meant we weer quite hot in the mornings.
