Nice hotel actually, very nice location for LAX plus a free shuttle service to the airport. Also was awesome location to alamo car rental. Had a denny's restaurant attached so didnt have to worry about driving or taking a taxi to get dinner. The hotel was gated so it felt very safe. Arrived on a late flight and had a pretty nice stay here. The accommodations are nothing special, but it was clean and comfortable. CONS: I almost wanted to get another hotel next door. I checked in at 11 am , they put us in the standard room not near the pool, the hall way was dimmed which was scary. Response by Travelodge Hotel at LAX Airport Impressive is a very subjective word.a lodging facility that provides accommodations at a moderate rate, friendly staff, good shuttle service, clean rooms, excellent mattresses, new 32 inch flat screen television, free Wi-Fi, complimentary continental breakfast, award winning landscaping, and a 24 hr. Denny's Restaurant with lounge all within 3 minutes of the airport definitely fits my definition of impressive. For those reasons we sustain the highest occupancy rate in the airport and the best approval rating for any 2 star property.

The Travelodge has several things going for it, it's proximity to LAX being one of them. Should the management consider redoing the place from the ground up, they could be making some serious money. "Great retro airport stay"
This is a great hotel for staying near LAX. Walking through the courtyard and pool was a real blast from hotels past. We enjoyed its contrast to today's multi-story block hotels. My wife, son and I needed to spend a day near LAX before a long trans-Pacific flight. We chose Travelodge Hotel at LAX solely based on its location near the airport. We were surprised at the friendliness and comfort of this hotel. I made, and paid for, a king size no smoking room. But when my in-laws checked in they were told the only 2 rooms left were one smoking room and one room with two single beds. Parking is HORRIBLE - cars doubled parked, cars parked in fire lanes. Took me 30 minutes with the help of a passerby to get out of my parking space - reverse 2 inches, turn wheel - forward 2 inches etc. just because some big SUV was parked in the fire lane behind me. Have spent 7 days in California and back at the TLAX for the last 2 days, first of all no parking available, then our room was a smoking room, they said none available, then our bathroom flooded and somehow a room appeared available, but no help to transfer bags (my father is disabled), morning breakfast is cut off at 5mins to early, no reason into […] this, or any flexibility, Was kicked out of the pool at 930 so they could clean, even though the pool opens at 9am.
