"Dingy"
We got into the hotel late, and the check in was quick, but not very personal. We were not told where to go, and the way to our room was confusing, as the door we needed to go through said exit. "payed for parking as a hotel guest"

Nice hotel in excellent condition, but it is so big that it's impersonal. Fortunately, I have family in the area & didn't need to eat real close to the hotel; there isn't a great choice close to the hotel. The Embassy Suites, across the street, is large but the staff knows who you are & greets you when you enter. "Late night check-in problems"
Booked this hotel because it was close to LAX and right across the street from our rental car return. When my wife and I arrived shortly after midnight, exhausted from a fun day with our adult son, I was shocked and surprised when the desk clerk said he had my hotels.com reservation, but that they had NO ROOMS currently available and that they were […] cleaning a room for us that would be ready in 30 to 40 minutes!! When I asked how this could be possible, he just shrugged and offered me a free drink at the bar--which I declined. My wife was ready to walk out, but I calmed her down, saying that we might not get a room at all in another hotel. We sat patiently in the lobby and indeed a room was ready in about 30 minutes. The desk clerk gave us a $30 voucher for breakfast in the morning, but we were leaving before the restaurant even opened, so we used about $10 of it at 5:30 am at the all night coffee shop. We got to bed at 1:00 am and had to get up at 5:00am to catch our flight, so we were quite exhausted the next day, partly to blame on the hotel not having a room ready for us on arrival. Front desk staff was friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. It was conveniently located to our particular rental car drop off and very close to the airport. The parking lot had plenty of room and coming and going was easy. Despite being so close to the airport, sounds of the air traffic were not noticeable.
