Double rooms with two beds are on the shady side of the building and the lighting in the room is lousy so my friend and I did our makeup in the dark and went out looking like a couple of hookers. I planned and decided my stay at Sofitel by reading the reviews of other customers and I was not disappointed. Although I encountered some difficulties, the personnel strived to fixed them and make sure that I was satisfied with the service. Concierge and valet parking attendants were very friendly and provided valuable insight with regards on places […] to visit. I also tried the hotel restaurant - LA Simon (from Iron Chef fame) and the food surpassed my expectations. I went for dinner during my first night in LA and later enjoyed the breakfast menu, which I enjoyed even more (try the croissant french toasts and the hot chocolate). The location also made me choose this hotel. It was perfectly located around every place I planned on visiting. I felt very welcomed and definitely recommend this hotel. They recommended a great sushi restaurant within walking distance and also got us on a guest list at the W hotel nightclub at very last minute (8.30pm that night). With the Beverly Centre shopping centre across the road and the hop on hop off bus stop across the road, this is a great location to see Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
