Located in Los Angeles, Calif., directly across from the Beverly Center shopping plaza, the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills shares the boulevard with prestigious Beverly Hills addresses, celebrity-frequented cafés and trend-setting nightclubs. The Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is a non-smoking property and features an on-site spa, LeSpa, which provides full spa services throughout eight treatment rooms with complimentary martinis on Thursdays. I was very disappointed. 1) My son fell in the bathroom due to the poor design of the shower enclosure and the lack of any slip-free surface in the tub. The Sofitel has great service and friendly staff. There are usually 4-5 staff at the entrance -- they rush to open doors, help us in and out of our car, valet parking, etc. The concierge and front desk were very helpful with our many questions. My daughter and I stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights. The service was excellent. The restaurant and the service was amazing! The Beverly Centre is across the road. Short taxi drive to Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd. Surrounding shopping limited but that may have been because of our short stay. Hotel is in a conenience location. Room is small. Bathroom shower door (glass door) is not designed correctly. When you take a shower water will run on the bathroom floor. "DON'T DO IT"
The Sofitel Los Angeles is located in an industrial section of Beverly Hills sandwiched between the Beverly Center and Cedars of Sinai Hospital. Not a good place to walk around without a body guard or two. "Great for Shopping and General facilities"
The hotel was great, the location could not be better; the Beverly Centre is across the road which was so convenient. There are also food courts and restaurant in close proximity. If you stay there I strongly recommend the grill restaurant across the road, my wife and I went there and the food and service was outstanding. The hotel helps organise tours […] of the area and they do pick up from the hotel. The hotel restaurant was good, we did enjoy breakfast there every day, but I recommend going out for the evening meal, the food out was of a better quality and more reasonably priced. We travelled in from Australia and based on discussions with the hotel, we expected to check in as soon as we arrived, unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked the night before so I would recommend anyone travelling from overseas and arriving early to book the extra night, as hanging around in the hotel before you check in is not a good experience, especially when we had to wait until 2.00pm for the room, having arrived at 8.30am. I suggest any visitors to the hotel looking to go shopping get a taxi to The Grove and also Westfield Century City; both are excellent shopping centres and have a better mix of stores. We had previously stayed at the JW Marriott another 5 star hotel however after reading a review on trip adviser we decided to try the Sofitel out. The facilities are comparable but one huge difference we found was the attitude of the staff at the Sofitel were brilliant! Location is perfect. A Hop on hop off stop is just across the road. Rodeo drive and The Grove are just a 20 min walk from the hotel. Service is great.
