Most visitors begin and end their Southland jaunt at the Los Angeles International Airport. As the nation’s busiest immigration port, LAX is a modern Ellis Island. The airport, convenient to the Beach Cities, has its own tourist attraction. The retro-futuristic Theme Building, built in 1961, resembles a flying saucer. Today, it houses a restaurant.
see all hotels in Los AngelesSuper convenient location to LAX, I actually walked from the airport to the hotel. Took shuttle when I flew out at 5am. Very clean, well kept, comfortable. Excellant stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to LAX"
Convenient place to stay when catching an early morning or late night flight, as we did for a trip to Hawaii. Spent the night before flying out, left our car parked at the hotel for a very reasonable rate (get your AAA discount), spent a night upon returning at midnight. Reasonable rate & good quality.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to LAX"
This hotel is not far from LAX and we stayed after flying in from interstate. Staff were helpful after our bags were delayed. A little dissapointed in the bedding size for a standard room (a couple of double beds) after we had been used to queen size beds in the other 3.5 / 4 star hotels we stayed at in the US. The breakfast was excellent, great choice […] & quality. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect business stay!"
My first time at this location, it was PERFECT! Right around the corner from my rental car return, great amenities, fabulous sushi (Goji was is masterful!), very pleasant ambiance, easy check-in and out, the free shuttle to airport is so helpful! I will definitely be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

When I checked in found out I had lost my wallet. Your front desk looked up last two locations I stopped at. I was stressed and he was very helpful. However, the parking garage wasn't as nice but finally understood when I told them "I can't pay, I have to fo pick up my wallet. I have no ID, credit card or cash". They had me sign an IOU and off I went […] and retuned with with wallet in hand and their cash. It took a village. Thank you for your help! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"convenient and great staff"
Most everything about the hotel was great. One quibble, and it can't be helped. My business cohort and I both had a little trouble sleeping due to being so close to their airport, but that was more our issue than the hotel's. Other than that, it was great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to airport"
Except for the noise from Century Blvd below, this room would have been perfect. However, once I dozed off, the noise did not interfere with my rest. Will use this hotel again for travel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Parking"
I felt that I should have not been charged 54 dollars for parking.Furthermore there should not have been s 300 dollar retail we fee for parking. You should accomadate your guests and not make them pay for parking. I will never recommend your hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Too many good hotels in the LAX area to repeat"
The gym was closed for construction but in three days I never saw any construction going on in the gym. The restaurant service was very slow and the drinks from the bar were horrible. I returned my rent car a day early planning on the last day to just take the shuttle to the airport in the morning, they said they could not credit my bill for the parking […] even though I was not parking it there over night, since I told them about it after 3 PM - but I was at meetings away from the hotel all day and couldn't tell them. We stay here for sentimental reasons. Byron Katie does her 9 day School for the Work here and that's where my husband and I met. We just have a good feeling about the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Crowne Plaza Stay at LAX"
Overall a great value. Just make sure and ask if they are finished with their remodel. Not all amenities are available as a result of the on going remodel. Excellent location if flying in / out of LAX. Parking is extra. FYI.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Business Hoel"
Overall a good stay....It's basically at the airport and slightly better than most near LAX. If on a 1-2 day busn. trip its worth it! If you're looking to be near the action of LA and staying longer, you may want to look into Santa Monica or West Wood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"perfect overnight business hotel"
This is an ideal hotel for overnight business trips or layovers. Rooms are large, clean, good bathrooms, sitting area, up-to-date with computer ports, large LCD's etc. My only criticism is the wireless is expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't Stay at Crowne Plaza LAX"
I was very disappointed to stay at the Crowne Plaza LAX. I woke up at around 9:30AM to the sound of major construction that sounded like it was right above my head. I am not exaggerating - it was VERY loud and disturbing. I told management and they offered me breakfast. I was angry. Then I was even angrier when they tried to 'nickle and dime me' by […] having the people in the kitchen only let me spend up to a certain amount. Not that any amount would have been sufficient, but it was the way they were focused on their own interest. I could tell that management of Crowne Plaza LAX are not used to holding (high?) professional posts - they see customer complaints as opportunities to make sure they "win the battle." I am so very disappointed that such people get jobs in an industry that should be about customer service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Airport close good for business purposes"
I stayed for 2 nights. An exceptionally clean and well-staffed hotel near L.A.X. There is a live jazz club on the premises with great enterainment. Food at the hotel restaurants was pretty good. A grilled salmon sandwich and fries was sixteen dollars. The hotel room was on the 14th floor and was had the most comfortable King bed I've ever slept on, […] including the one in my own bedroom. Nice, forceful water pressure in the shower for my lengthy thot showers (that's important to me). Also, hotel was right next door to a 24-Hour fitness center, even though the hotel had a "fitness center", I used 24-Hour's. Overall, I'd highly recommend this except for 2 things: parking was $15.00/night (right next door in a mult-floor parking garage. And, I could jets landing at L.A.X. in my room, muffled, but I could still hear them. That's why I travel and sleep with earplugs when on business! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice accomodations, good food"
This is a nice older hotel that is very well kept and convenient to the airport. I would definitely stay here again when in LA on business. Good restaurant on primises and good restaurants close as well. Easy access to the 405 and north/ south Los Angeles.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Needs to do a better job of describing additional costs"
Quality of the property was average. Add on costs for parking and internet should be more clearly disclosed. Menu price of room service meals appearred to be fair to good but I was not there long enough to have a meal.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Tired, OLD and POOR Customer Service"
I travel the world constantly as an international speaker and author. I have been to hotels in third world countries and this hotel, although I am usually fond of the Crowne Plaza brand, was not a good experience. Check-in: Good was they allowed me to check in early. Bad was they couldn't find my priority number, I eventually did. Very bad was as soon […] as I got there - after already committing to a rate - I am getting UPSOLD. Would you like to pay an extra XYZ to not stay in our crappy room that we sold you - that has been around for 30 years? Our new rooms are decent and worthy of the crowne plaza name. As a priority club member - or even since those rooms are available - give them out first. You are a crowne plaza, nobody should see the room I stayed in, unless it was a bargain pit price - which this wasn't. Just because you have not updated all of your rooms does not mean I should be relegated to paying MORE for what should ALREADY be there. ROOM: Sub par - dirty hallways - at least clean. The windows were paper thin - I could hear every plane that went by AND the traffic below The HOT WATER was luke warm at best. It was outrageous I had to take a very fast and unpleasant shower. ROOM SERVICE - The food was delivered cold, and soggy. I didn't eat it. INTERNET - There is NO free wireless even in the lobby. I get you want us to pay in the rooms, but sometimes we just need a quick login. For example - I needed to print 6 pieces of paper - such as you would need for a boarding pass. Because I couldn't email it to the head desk, they would not print it - NOT even from a memory stick. Customer Service - I waited in a priority check in line up - which only had 1 person being dealt with for 30 minutes. The other line up when I came to it had 12 people, who not only cycled through faster with the 2 reps, but others filtered in and through BEFORE I got served. One of the other reps should have called me over first before the new ones went ahead of me. PERK - I go Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
