"Close to airport but don't hear planes"

Hotel was clean, staff was helpful. Another guest had left something for me at the front desk for me to pick up when I checked-out, had to request that the clerk actually go look rather than tell me "it's not here". "Great Service"
I really enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree. My room was clean and more than expected in regards to decor. The cookies as always were fabulous. But my favorite part was the service. The receptionist was key to helping me navigate New Orleans and its traffic. And the engineering staff indulged me, not once, but twice to come to my room and adjust my bed […] because I was unfamiliar with 'sleep number' beds and their operation. "Less than impressed...."
Obviously an older hotel that has had a facelift. The toilet took a while to flush and you have to hold the handle the entire time. The floor in our room was never vacuumed. "Decent Hotel Near The Airport"
I'll make it quick. -It's near the airport -It's about 10 miles from the French Quarter -This isn't what I've come to expect from other Double Tree Hotels. While the front desk woman was very nice, the facility itself could use some work. The elevators are rough, too. "Must be last in line for updates"
Parking was not very secure. Location was unsafe, but very close to the airport. The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly. The room smelled a little funny. Decor and furniture was outdated, except for a Sleep Number bed which did not work properly. The mini-fridge would not stay closed and the freezer was broken. The television was old, grimy, […] and the volume was inaudible on about half the available channels even at maximum volume setting. They charged us for their "complimentary" continental breakfast and would not give a satisfactory explanation why. If all you're doing is picking up someone from the airport for a red-eye flight and you just need to crash and aren't expecting much, it beats the Motel 6 I suppose. "Very nice airport area hotel"
