"Great Manager, Great Hotel, Bad Lifeguards"
The hotel was awesome! The manager fixed a room reservation issue quickly and effortlessly, the room was awesome, the AC was not working properly, but that was a fluke i'm sure. The only issue is this awesome water park that is touted on the website was ruined by the under qualified, but over confident lifeguards. I'm not sure what the level of expectation […] should be for lifeguards working after 10:00, but these were not close. They treated the guys in our group like we were about 10 years old, and were over controlling on anything we could do in the pool. 1 of our group was whistled down for stepping on a slide, which he had to step over to get into the pool, they would not let us have a basketball to use on the basketball rim in the pool, and the reprimanded us for touching the rim. "Overzealous Lifeguards"
The hotel was in a great location and was very nice. The manager at the front desk was extremely helpful in assisting us with a special situation. However, the two lifeguards who were on duty that evening were overly controlling and were too eager to get off from work. Apparently the waterslide and other water activities close earlier than the pool, […] and the only thing the lifeguards would allow us to do in the pool is sit or stand along the edge.
