"recent stay"
On our arrival, our room door handle broke off and the staff could not open our room. Unfortunately our luggage was locked inside the room, after a while they did get the room open, and quickly assigned us to another room. The first night, we were directly under a wedding party that stayed up slamming doors till 4am in the morning. My husband called […] numerous times to the desk, but nothing helped the noise. "Fantastic Hotel"
My only dissatisfaction is that the road construction made it hard to see the turn off for the hotel. Otherwise everything was wonderful. The room was well maintained and spacious, the view from the room was spectacular, the lobby area was beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. There are tons of pros and a few cons to this hotel. We like it and are repeat customers. It may not be for everyone though. The good things about this hotel is its price, the value of what you get for that price, the beautiful and perfectly clean rooms, the fabulous pool and spa and the bar with the best bartender I have found in some time. The cons are, it is a bit out of the way from nightlife, bars, resteraunts and activities (this is a pro for us but I can understand why it wouldn't be for some), the air conditioner never seems to cool down like I would like in the room, the hot tub was HOT!!! When looking at hotels.com for rooms for our mothers day trip this one came up at a great rate. "Not as good as it used to be"
We used to stay here all the time until Marriott took over and raised the rates. This trip our water didn't drain in the tub, only 2 lights worked and I had to practically BEG for toilet paper. Every time we went down to get the same 3 drinks it was a different price. NO free wireless!! It's $10 per day per device. We have stayed at this Hotel before and it is first class all the way. The Marriott is an excellant Hotel chain and rarely is there a problem (at least my experience). This time we had asked for double beds and when we got to our room there was only a single King. The hotel was sold out for the night so moving or room was not an option. "Great Location if going to speedway"
We were very well taken care of here. Room service was excellent. The shuttle to the track was a pleasant surprise and certainly was much more convenient than battling the traffic in and out of the speedway. The hotel room itself was pleasant and well maintained.
