We paid for an executive suite, we received a standard suite. This hotel doesn't have executive suites. You must use valet parking, which costs $22 a day. When we checked in they told us we had a great view, we get to the room and we had a great view of construction, an ally way, and some roof tops. We chose this hotel because of it's location which is central to the restaurants, shops and events of downtown that we wanted to visit in celebration of our first wedding anniversary. From the minute we arrived we were impressed with the service from the staff. We chose this place to stay because of its location to our event (we had plans to see our friends perform at the Hyena's comedy club in FW) and its well-known cocktail hour. My wife and I spent the weekend in Fort Worth and found this hotel to be ideally located near Sundance Square and shopping. The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Breakfast was amazing and free, and so was the nightly Manager's reception with complementary wine, beer and hors d'oeuvre. The only concern, if you can call it […] that, I had was parking. I was hoping to park outside the hotel on my own since it was the weekend, and parking was free. However, you are almost forced to use the hotel's valet parking, which is $22.73 including tax per 24 hour period, because the valet service blocks the parking spaces around the hotel for temporarily staging cars to park or for customers to pick up. That is, unless you don't mind parking your car on the next block, which I wasn't comfortable with. "Embassy Suites Downtown Fort Worth - A MUST!!!"
Wow. That's all that comes to mind when recalling our stay at Embassy Suites - Downtown Fort Worth. I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason, but three points really stood out to me: 1. Staff service. A++. During check-in, the attendant asked what brought my wife and I to town. We told her it was our anniversary. She then offered […] to make dinner and entertainment arrangements (which I had already done). When we returned from dinner, the attendant had left a complimentary bottle of wine (with two glasses and an opener) and a hand-written note of congratulations in our room! Nice touch! 2. Room. The room was spotlessly clean. The king-size bed was simply divine, as was the bedding: soft and luxurious. 3. And this point should be a clincher over every other Fort Worth hotel: a REAL breakfast, included in the room charge. NO EXTRA CHARGE! Eggs, pancakes, cooked-to-order omelette bar, fruit, bacon, sausage, cereals, a choice of milk (whole, 2%, or skim), coffee, juice, yogert.... all you can eat. So much better than a stale danish and cold cup of instant coffee. In addition, the location is also superb: Across the street from Bass Performance Hall, and easily within walking distance (two blocks) to Sundance Square.
