Room was dated but clean. I was in St. Paul for a couple of nights to attend a conference. I did not want or need a large room so was satisfied with the small area. The price was excellent. "could be worse.."

"Dont waste your time"
This hotel is the worst i have ever stayed in. We got there around 11.30pm and checked in went to the room and the smell although pleasent was so strong that we could bearly breathe. Then not even ten minutes after getting into the room we get a call from a very rude hotel staff member saying we where to load even though we were talking at a normal […] tone also the cable service was so hard to get working it was basically unusable. they have two remotes to control tv and the cable box but the cable box wont work because the tv and box are sitting up so high that it cant see the signal. overall this hotel was dirty the staff was very rude and just getting into the place was a nightmare. "Excellent value, would stay again!"
The building was maintained and new enough that I felt comfortable there. The room was quite clean. I did not use any of the hotel services but the staff was quite friendly. My room included an iron and ironing board, safe, toiletries, and hair dryer. There was a very small writing surface which was adequate for my needs but could be cramped if you […] are trying to work with books or multiple documents, etc. my biggest complaint was that the chair was uncomfortable - the back did not support enough. As I was there for 3 days on a business trip, I spent a lot of time working in that chair and was not amused. The location was convenient to the university. I did not explore if there were many restaurants in the area because I simply had food delivered. "Small gets a new meaning"
Its small room the service its purpose. There are no places to eat within a mile or so. Not even a McD's. Really. You are near the airport so occasionally you hear a plane taking off. Trying to find the entrance is per heck. You have to drive through the back of a commercial building parking lot to get to hotel, where then again, go through another […] maze to get to the main doors. This is a no thrill place. Then there is the so-called "Continental Breakfest." Stale bagels, kid size muffins (I think that is what they were), white bread, a toaster that didn't work, 2 bananas, an orange drink, coffee in packets and out of date yogurt. Now for the room. When I got in the room, both (yes two) bulbs were burnt out, no clock radio, but it was clean, no bugs. Surprisingly it was quite. FYI: If you want to get back on expressway, turn left at entrance, then another left and again left at stoplight. Its about a block away and the easiest way. FYI: For food, turn left at entrance, go straight on Denmark until Yankee Doodle Dandy about a mile. There are many places to eat around that area only. FYI: Smashburger is very over rated Wendy's. $$ EX: .75 extra for the cheese for a cheeseburger. Had Cheeseburger and over salted dried out fries w/drink just under $10. McD's is better. The hotel is in a good location in reference to the airport and mall of American in Minneapolis. "Cheap, small, clean room"
I needed a place to stay for four nights while at a workshop in Minneapolis. The room is small (maybe all MICROtels are like that), but I was just sleeping there. It was clean and well kept. Wireless internert worked well. The breakfast was good. It was close to the highway for my 15 minute drive in to town. There isn't any place to eat real close by, […] but there is a large shopping area with many restaurants and fast food places about 2 miles south, just off the highway at the next exit.
