we enjoyed it. we did have to change rooms because first room t.v. did not work. The shower was great had to shower heads and good pressure in first room. when moved to room next door, the shower there flooded the bathroom floor, drain stopped up. "the stay"

"Convenient no-frills stay on Galveston Island"
I chose this hotel based mostly on the other Hotels.com reviews and the price. I was more interested in being on the island than in what amenities were offered since the plan was to spend most of our time out doing other things. It was too short of a trip to spend long hours lounging by the pool. I also like the convenience of the gas station immediately next door. I walked over there twice to get soda and snacks. Incidentally, the gas station attendant was extremely friendly, too. It doesn't look like the best neighborhood but we didn't run into any problems. "Hard to clean up"
Hotel was ok except the second night we returned to our room to find only 1 towel was left by maid that cleaned the room and when we went to manager he all but said that we stole the towels and the supervisor checks after they finish and makes sure that there are 3 towels and 3 wash rags, and his words ( that's all we supply ) each room . We were 2 […] adults and 3 children, so we had to use beach towels . Third day we arrived about 4:00 pm and they were just finished cleaning room, we were shorted 1 wash cloth and no supervisor ever came to check. Last time for me and my family at this place!!! "exceptional services"
the staff at the Galveston location was exceptional. The beds and pillows were great. The location turned out to be good once I discoverd it was easier to comute down harborside dr. rather than broadway. The hotel is clean with nice sized rooms. That to me is the most important thing. Is located within 5 minutes of the cruise terminal. You can park your car at the hotel and pay $10 per person for round trip ride to the terminal. Front door service, professional, and right on time to pick you up upon your return. "Excellent Pre and Post Cruise Fishing or Economy Location....."
This hotel is located just off the causeway on your way too the Cruise terminal and fishing boats. It is about 5 miles from the beach. Hotels in Galveston are getting old and run down. If you are willing to pay $200+ per night, you can get a newer and nicer place by the beach. However, if your cruising or going fishing this is a very good place to stay. […] It's located on Harborside drive just a couple of miles west. It does set next to a Valaro Service station, but that is a convienent place to pick up a late night snack and buy your Texas lotto ticket. The hotel is older but has been kept up to date. The breakfast area is small but it works. The only two problems that I had were the occassional train wistle behind the hotel, it will happen a couple of times a night, and the thin walls allowed you to hear the neighbors mumbling. I solved that problem by keeping the bathroom exhaust fan on, as well as the AC unit...no problem after that. By the way, the AC worked very well. The beds were clean and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The shower was very hot and spacious. It felt great after a hard days fishing. If you want clean at a reasonable to lesser price on Galveston Island, this definately is the place to stay. I will stay here again. For this island, it is cheap...but nice. Over all the place was not too bad, only a few bad things. When the maids would clean our room we were only given 1 shampoo and 1 soap when we would ask the maids for more stuff they were rude and tolds us to go to the front desk, so every day for lotion and conditioner and also more towels, became very old quick. This hotel is located a few minutes away from the beach. This is a hotel ran by muslims if that's important to anyone. The rooms were actually quite nice.
