"this is not a hotel to rent or accept lodging with"

I cannot recommend this hotel. The location is good but that would be the only positive comment I could make about this hotel. Many things in the room were broken, it was very dirty and noisy. "Don't stay here"
Expected much more based on hotels.com rating. Did not stay after checking in and inspecting the room. The "nonsmoking" room was filthy and reeked of smoke. I arrived at 11:30pm. the room temp was about 85º, no a/c running. at least the unit worked once i turned it on. there were no ice trays in the freezer, so i called the front desk -- no ice machine at the hotel! eventually the front desk attendant got ONE GLASS of ice from trays in an unoccupied room, and brought it to me. coffee mug wasn't clean, had […] to wash it before i could drink coffee in the morning. then, an hour before checkout, the front desk (different person) calls to confirm that i am checking out. ??? what if I were still asleep, there was plenty of time left! i wouldn't have remained there a 2nd nite if it were the only hotel in northern Virginia. "How to get annoyed at the weekend"
