Place was nice. Owners were friendly and helpful. I had read some reviews about this place before choosing. I loved the location, right off the highway.... Couple stores and a bar/resteraunt easy walking distance. Clean rooms. We got the deluxe with the outside patio, which was ground level and nice view of the woods. Only downsides, the wi-fi was out, owners apologized and explained some critters had been chewing on some wires. And the bathroom towels are indeed kind of small, but just ask for extra and things are fine. I will stay here again on my next visit to the area, I prefer small mom and pop kind of places to stay as opposed to national chains, and this place was a pleasant surprise. This is a nice place to stay. Would not pay more than the 50.00 per night. Beds are comfy and room was fairly clean. Some maintenance work is needed on the place (example: shower faucet was off) but over all it was a pleasant experience.

This hotel went through a management change. It is now run by a family. Such care and service shows in the improvement of this hotel based on past reviews. this is NOT the same hotel! A very "down-home" feeling permeates throughout. The owners are caring and attentive. I slept well here!

It is a simple and CHEAP place to stay to get out of the heat of Phoenix. If you stay here, go out hiking and enjoy the outdoors and use it as a place to sleep and shower. If you look at it that way it is a real bargain.
