"2nd Time in Kalispell @ Red Lion"
The last time I stayed at the Red Lion in Kalispell I had a room with a king bed. This time I had a room with two queen beds. The differences were striking, resulting in a much less pleasurable stay this time. 1) There was a lack of outlets in the room. The Red Lion in Kalispell was a great hotel - it was right in the downtown area close to many stores and restaurants. It was also across the street from a park that had numerous street fairs and concerts. There is also a great farmers' market in the parking lot every weekend. Average at best. Room clean and comfortable. Some staff friendly, some not so much. The buffet breakfast was terrible; eggs overcooked, bacon and sausage undercooked, coffee barely warm. "Noisey hotel"

The staff was great, but the hotel itself needs a overhaul! The pool was nice, but the hot tub only worked on and off the entire time and was VERY dirty. The sauna didn't get hot at all which was the same for the hot tub most of the time. My daughter also got locked in the bathroom in the pool facility and they nearly had to break the door down to get […] her out, and the way they fixed the door while we were there was to put a out of order sign taped to the door. "The Red Lion in Kalispell-make sure you call ahead"
The hotel was great except for 2 important things. 1) Before booking I called the hotel & inquired about their shuttle service from the airport. I told them we would be arriving on the last flight in and asked if it would be a problem. They assured me that it wasn't so I booked it. When we arrived at the airport we waited around for a bit and then I […] called. I called 3 times in 40 minutes before anyone came to pick us up. It sucked. 2) We arrived very late Thursday/early Friday and had to be up very early on Friday morning. The sign in the lobby said breakfast started at 6am on weekday mornings. When we left near 7 there was no food, no juice and no coffee. It sucked. If you've rented a car and don't expect the complimentary breakfast then by all means, this is a clean, comfortable hotel, but if you need the shuttle and would like more than the coffee in your room, be prepared to wait. We stayed on Aug 10th at the Red Lion in Kalispell, great location but the hotel/room was not very clean and very smokey for a non smoking room. We changed rooms 3 times and finally ended up with a court yard room that we could open the patio door to get fresh air. Cleanliness and odour were our only complaints.
