"Overpriced Red Lion Hotel"
We booked the hotel for two nights, because we had some to celebrate and I like to have a nice hotel. In this price range I am expect a nice place, but in this case it was wrong. We got a room next to the ice and vending machine. The hotel doesn't look clean and has a lot of potential for updates. The front desk assistant was also not very help full […] to change the and so had my wife a unpleased night with all the noise from the ice machine. Hampton Inn has better standards but lower prices. The breakfast was nice and very good. I left some tip on my bed and got a nice thank you note from the cleaning lady. This was very nice. This hotel is not on my return list. "Dissapointment"
The room furnishings were dated, room small and cramped for the price. We compare it to the Hilton Garden Inn where we like to stay. This place cost more for less space. The rugs thru the hotel were old, stained and dirty looking. It smelled old. The breakfast was poor in quality and quantity, and served on black disposable plates, with plastic cutlery […] and paper napkins. It was just all around not to our usual standards for the price we paid. It is the second time we havestayed at a Red Lion Inn and the other one was just as bad several years ago. "Wasted our trip"
We stayed at another hotel for a couple of nights before coming to Kalispell Red Lion. The previous hotel was a similar cost and a very nice hotel located about 20 minutes from this Red Lion location. We originally had booked 4 nights at this hotel to continue our trip around Glacier. After checking in we were very disappointed with the condition of […] the hotel for the price we were paying each night. We walked into our room and realized we were not willing to stay there for 4 nights and immediately started working with the front desk and expedia to cancel our stay. This was a huge pain because I had to work with expedia as a middle man to put me on hold to contact the hotel back and forth for nearly 2 hours of my time. We ended up staying and paying for one night which cost nearly double what it should have for a similar condition hotel. Unfortunately no other hotel in the area had available rooms so we ended our Glacier trip that we had planned to stay 7 days after only staying 3. We had the single queen bed room and the bathroom was so small you had to straddle the toilet to wash your hands in the sink, you also had to straddle the toilet to close the door to get into the shower. Overall we would not recommend this hotel to our friends, I would not pay the rate they were requesting even though it was the only room available. Very dissapointing. "Facelift needed"
The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are in desperate need of a facelift. Window shades weren't big enough for the windows so light from the neon sign above the window streamed into the room all night. The rate was over inflated for the quality of the room. "Noisey hotel"

"Hot Breakfast Left Us Cold"
The much touted hot breakfast included powdered scrambled eggs, a pancake machine that ran out of batter and a staff member who insisted on vacuuming under our table while we were eating. "Not a fan of sagging mattresses/fix the heater"
Could not regulate the heat. Beds sagged providing sore backs. Hot tub was ice cold for 2 days and needed maintenance and repair. TV had interference lines on some of the channels. Breakfast was ok the first day but could not convince ourselves to make a repeat visit.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Kalispell Red Lion, Great staff but not clean"
We stayed on Aug 10th at the Red Lion in Kalispell, great location but the hotel/room was not very clean and very smokey for a non smoking room. We changed rooms 3 times and finally ended up with a court yard room that we could open the patio door to get fresh air. Cleanliness and odour were our only complaints. "Must have been better in it's hey day"
Hotel is very old, not overly impressed with the condition, and very expensive. Attached Mall has one great store, the rest is very run down. No movie rentals on the TV, pool was freezing.
