"Great Hotel, Great Location"
I truly enjoyed this and other Kimpton Hotels. Palomar was in a central location in Philly. Staff was great in directing us to sites, places to eat and otherwise. The hotel amenities were top shelf. Breakfast coffee service, hotel fitness room, afternoon wine service, allowance for pets. I will definately stay there in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Superb"
One of the best hotel experiences ever, from the smiling personnel to the amazing elevator art to the complimentary wi-fi and even $10.00 mini bar credit. Plus wine, hot toddies, and popcorn in the lobby late afternoon.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Stay!"
I guess I have been living under a rock but I had never heard of boutique hotels. I have always stayed at the usual places, Westin, Marriott , etc...and have never stayed at a boutique hotel before staying at the Palomar. Well, what a great introduction! The staff was great and very accommodating. I had to switch rooms because a friend was joing me […] and we needed a two bed room. They accommodated me without hesitation. We wanted restaurant reservations at hip and trendy places...the concierge Cristina...did so without a glitch and the place she recommended, Barbuzzo, was outstanding. She also provided us with bikes and helmets (complimentary to guests) and recommended we bike to Frankfurt Hall a German style beer garden that was awesome! The daily wine and tasty popcorn in the lobby was a great treat and you can't beat the location for a great bar and food scene. Lastly, I and my friend were amazed at how quiet the hotel was. Even when completely booked we heard nothing. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent Staff -- Friendly and Accommodating"
Loved the daily 1 hour open wine bar! Breakfast was delicious! My room was clean and confortable with high-end/contemporary features...walk to everything; businesses, retail, restaurants -- short cab ride to all of the museums! Very swanky and I will stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Modern style, excellent service, great location near shopping and UPenn"
Would definitely stay again! The location was perfect- right near lots of shopping and restaurants. Would have appreciated having coffee in the room, but there are plenty of cafes nearby. New and modern, clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, service was awesome"
From the door man, to the front desk person, to the person who worked the bar... everyone was so friendly and professional. Will stay here again in a heart beat. Rooms are a bit pricey, but worth it if you are looking for an amazing hotel experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The only thing I did not like was the shower head--very low flow of water. Everything else was excellent. Free Wine Tasting!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not bad"
Things that make it not bad instead of Great: 1. I was hot all night long, had the a/c as low as it could go (65F). 2. pillows were all feather, no support, very uncomfortable. 3. Food offerings after 7:00p were minimal and overpriced. i.e. fries and a tiny salad with lemonade for $$$. 4. the batteries in the remote to the t.v. were dead, and at 9:15p, […] I wasn't about to call down for new ones. 5. I could hear traffic outside my window at night 6. there was no available coffee or tea in the room 7. the iron spewed out dark brown spots on my white top 8. "turn down" service came and knocked on my door at 9:15p, twice, really? I was already in bed and just wanted to relax. 9. there was music playing, loud enough that it likened a club from the moment I walked in the door, up the elevators and in the hallways. And then again the next morning, very early in the morning. not at all relaxing or welcomed. Things that made it good: 1. they printed out my boarding pass for me the night before, so convenient. 2. breakfast was excellent and quite convenient. though pricey. 3. they hailed a cab for me. 4. everything was very clean 5. everyone was kind, polite and friendly 6. i couldn't hear the music in my room. "Love this Hotel!"
I stayed at the Palomar for the second time in two years while attending a convention in Philly. Both times I took the Spa room which is really relaxing after a hard days work! In general, the service is first class although we encountered a couple of problems which I assume were not typical. I cannot wait to go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Palomar, Philly"
Comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Mini bar is overly expensive compared to other similar hotels. Tavern and restaurant a little small and the bartender a little uninformed and a touch curt. Go for the room, the view and the surrounding area of Philly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Funky and Fine"
The Palomar was a great find. Lively but quiet upstairs with a W like feel to it. The room was big and well laid out. The location is good. I am a fan.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Luxury and location in Philly"
I stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Paladar in Philadelphia for business. I am very familiar with Philly as my daughter went to Penn for 4 years and I travel there fairly frequently for business as well. Hotel Paladar was wonderful. I had a room on the 19th floor that was very quiet and clean. The front desk staff as well as doormen and everyone I came in […] contact with were pleasant, helpful and polite. The wine reception and free coffee in the lobby in the morning were nice touches. I wish I could have printed my own boarding pass, but as the front desk personnel said, that's what they're there for and they had it ready for me at check out. The location was in easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants on Walnut, Chestnut and Sansom. I will stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Room Change"
I book a single room with a Queen size Bed throght hotel.com. When I checked in got and got to my room it happen to be a room right next to the elevator and a room for A Handicap person. I stated to the front desk clerk could she move me to another room. She stated that their was no more rooms with a Queens size bed. Or for an addittional 50.00 she […] could move to a room me to a room with King size bed. I found that hard to believe. that their were no more room with a Queen size bed. I wasn't to happy that I cound'nt switch my room. Other then that I still think Kimpton Hotel are great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Horrible soundproofing!!!!!"
The hotel itself is in good condition. Walls are incredibly thin! The people in the room next to me decided to get frisky at 3:30AM, and I could hear everything, even to the point of knowing their names-- gross. It felt like I was in bed with them. My actual hotel room was nice though, but I do think that a hotel should be constructed in a way so you […] don't hear everything in the hallways and the other rooms. this hotel has a quiet elegance -- truly one of the new boutique hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful -- the room nicely decorated. Tiny ... but the long hall built into the corner room i had made it feel less tiny ... just what i needed for short stay. and so convenient to lots of restaurants in Rittenhous square ... for the low low rate i spent […] (not the typical rate) it was worth it - (might not have been as happy at a higher rate Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Always a good take"
Always an enjoyable stay in a very hip place. Staff super helpful but not overwhelming like at big four star chains where they wont leave you alone. Wine hour is great (and very timely as I walked in the door). Only minor comment is that the workout room is very small and limited to just a few people.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Disappointed"
I was in town for a conference and was very happy at the location and the look of the hotel. I was very happy with my room and the ammenties. Unfortunately, they missed a very important wake-up call for one of my meetings which I obviously missed. At that same time, there were numerous calls from the front desk asking me if I was checking out (I was […] booked for another three days) This added to a very stressful situation as I was hurrying to get to the rest of my meetings.. I had asked for the TV to be fixed on day 1 as the picture was bad. It did not happen after numerous phone calls. A bellman noticed it one morning. I had given up by this time. To his credit, he attempted to fix it. Unfortunately, the whole TV went off-line. He told me that someone would be up in 5 minutes. An hour later, no one showed up. There was not even a phone call to state what the anticipated delay if any was going to occur. While the manager was very apologetic and tried to win me back, it left a very bad taste in my mouth.
