After the experience I had I won't be considering this hotel again for future stays. Staff at check in were lazy, i.e. standing around not working. The hotel was -okay-. I'll admit, I picked it for the price, so I'm not trying to be too picky. The staff was shockingly unprofessional. Pros: Fast check in, close to the airport, 24hr shuttle to airport departs every 30min, free wifi. Cons: Breakfast is not really a breakfast as there's only cereal, bagels, muffins and oatmeal. When I got to the hotel the front desk clerk was on a phone call. Didn't sound like a personal call. It did sound like she was booking a room. I waited at the desk never making any sound or movement for her to hurry up. I just waited patiently. After she got off the phone she came up to the desk. Never saying welcome or how my I help you. Reasonably close to the Eastwick stop of the train to downtown. Minor hike on unpaved surfaces to get there, but very walkable. Room was okay, nothing great, but gave us a place to sleep and get out to the airport the next morning. Only stayed one night for a concert in the area. Was fine for the price and what we needed. Close to Tower Theatre & main highways. Not very clean, but do-able. One mattress had a blood stain on the underside (we dealt with it), several long hairs in the bathroom/on the towel rack. No TV remote. I would consider it a slightly below average experience. I was not impressed at all with the front desk staff, who appeared annoyed with any questions I had during my stay about my room or my bill. In addition, the room was overpriced given the lack of ammenities (no refrigerator or microwave in the room, smaller TV with limited channels). This hotel is literally right next to the airport, so if you are looking for something closer to the city I would suggest staying somewhere else. We were very pleased with the room and the convenience to downtown Philly. We were in town for the annual Swanze Day at Monks Cafe as well as doing some craft beer bottle shopping. "Microtel Inn near Philly airport"
My sisters and I stayed there for a long weekend of sightseeing in Philadelphia. The location is great for getting into Philly, since a regional train into Philly is basically just across the street. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms had minor flaws, but we expected that when staying at a budget hotel, and they in no way impeded our vacation or […] left us wondering about the cleanliness. We did have a question about how our shower was working at one point, and a maintenance person was at our door within 5 minutes. Beds were nice and firm. "50/50 on this one"
I stayed for two nights. It looks like a nice hotel from the outside, till you go in. Upon check-in there were rings on the nightstand as if it was not cleaned from the prior guest. I called the front desk and the lady that answered the phone didn't speak ENGLISH so she gave the phone to someone that did. I was told that I could not get another room […] because they were all booked. When I took a shower the tub filled up with water because it was clogged. I called the front desk to report it and the same lady that doesn't speak ENGLISH answered the phone. So she gave the phone to someone that could. I was told that someone who come check it and no one ever did. The breakfast also only cosisted of juice, cereal, and packaged mini muffins. Only good thing about the hotel that it's cheap and right next to the airport. For a cheap spot to stay in order to catch a flight or lay your head down its not bad. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
