The inn is about 5-10 mins. from the Phila Zoo and museum. 15-20 center city/couth philly in a quiet suburban area. There is a Chilis across the street and a chinese buffet, gas station convienence store next door. The parking garage was under renovation so parking was a bit tight. Very simple basic room . In spite of the low average rating, I picked this hotel for my Thanksgiving weekend stay. Other users must expect fine champagne on a beer budget. The Hotel Price and Location was Good, However the Desk Staff could be improved. The 1st People you see are they and they were rude on more than one Occasion. The room was good and Clean. However I was there a few days and had to ask for the room to be cleaned, But for the Price I paid and Location It was adequate.

This was my first time in a hotel on a personal getaway I choose this hotel because its was close to my family. Upon check-in the personell was great when we reached the floor of our room it smelt of pot and our room stunk of old ciggeretts I reported this immediatly to the front desk however at night after visiting family there was no parking available […] for hotel guests and they insisted we park in a nearby alley, this was unacceptable. The parking attendend did manage to squeeze us in the parking structure this occured both nights. The second night I received a nasty phone call from the front desk at 10:32 pm first hung up then called me back stating that he only had me down for one night and I explained that I paid for 2 nights in advance and had the receipts to prove it. The gentleman was very rude and abruptly hung up the phone. However on 6/19/11 morning checkout we told the day mananger of the phone call and the hassel of parking he was very appologetic and gave referrence to whom I should write a letter to. I have written on and submitted it. My husband and I will never stay nor recommend this place to anyone. Read more

I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the treatment that I received at the hotel. although I wasn't centrally located downtown, the transit system allowed me to easily get downtown in 10-15mins. Bottom line: excellent value. What do people expect at this price point? I was a little cautious given previous reviews, but pleased to report overall I had a great experience. Negatives: very slow elevators, no shampoo (only soap), overall cleanliness of common areas 7/10, small sink, and quirky faux bureau that works as a table surface but drawers […] don't actually open. Positives: room was neat and clean, nice hot water, courteous front desk person, hotel manager and security on-site (I was checked once to verify I was indeed a guest); amazing location; nice view of Lord & Taylor; gas station with convenience mart next door; FREE covered parking and very good FREE wireless. Even at expensive hotels, they often charge extra for internet and parking. It was not noisy at all. I noticed some signs indicating the facility attracts wedding business. I suppose those guests or weekend partiers could get noisy--- but I was there on business during the week. No problem with noise at all. There was evidence of a lot of construction going on. I was there at night, so not a noise problem, but maybe an issue for folks during the day. I am in the military and would definitely stay there again if travelling on business to keep cost down. I read the reviews prior to booking and some good ,some bad. my review is both. the location, price, staff, and overall room was good, but can be better. at least in our room there were NO bed bugs, and that was important to us. The parking, limited amenities like a computer, limited cable channels, fridge and microwave were a down side since we had […] a week stay. the beds are not the best but were clean, here is were I mean about being picky, I have a foam mattress so spring bed was killing me. iron and ironing table in room were not available until requested, and blinds for window are a downside, sunset is around 6am so light would come in, drapes or curtains would be better. a/c is an on/off switch, so if hot turn on, if cold turn off, no adj. thermostat. There appears to be a "Jeremy" who is a regular and hearing "JEREMY!, JEREMY! at 2-5am was not a great first night. Hotel staff, you should know who he is, don't book him next to a first timer. the rest of stay, rooms were pretty quiet from outside noise. I went to this place even after reading so many bad reviews, because I had no other choice. I am happy I did. Of course this is not a 5-star hotel, but it is very cheap, located in a very nice surrounding, and rooms are quite decent. Since this place specializes in weddings and banquets, there is a fair amount of noise at night, but (at least in summer) […] the air-conditioned covers all this and one can quietly sleep. I was there for one week. Once I forgot to lock my door and went away for the day, but when I came back everything was still there, including my laptop. There is cable TV, and the internet connection is functional. People at front desk are very nice and courteous.
