"Perfect Location"
This is my first stay at a Sofitel. I am a 200+ night per year Marriott customer and I was very pleased with the Sofitel. The room was comfortable and the staff was professional and friendly. "Good hotel but not impressive or excellent"

"Great location, nice staff - rooms could be nicer"
Very nice lobby, valets, concierge. Asked for a "quiet" room and we were put at end of hallway next to suites (party suites at 1am!) and woken up by street noise when bars closed. Maybe that was the quietest part of hotel - I'm not sure but I was unhappy to be woken up for happy hour. Was only there one night so it was tolerable. The room looked great […] but had a stale air smell - they should be airing out w/ fan or A/C before guests arrive, especially in such humidity. I appeared clean at first glance but once using bathroom, realized it probably didn't have a sanitary, deep scrub - just a quick once over. So for those who want true bleach clean like me, you won't be thrilled. Location of the hotel is fabulous. Valet parked our car and just walked to museums, restaurants, shopping - all easy. Sofitel Philly is great! Smells delicious the moment walk in the lobby. Friendly and efficient staff. Couch in suite leaves a little to be desired...but the rest of the room was great. "Sofitel Hotel - Viva la France"
Our mother/daughter sojourn began at the Sofitel Hotel where the front desk associate, Suzanne, warmly welcomed my mother who arrived prior to me and assisted her in getting settled as it was her first visit to Philadelphia and Sofitel Hotel. I booked a junior suite which was simply stunning. Our suite came complete with two tv's, comfy robes and slipppers, […] bottled water, keurig coffee, and l'Occitane toiletries....Lemon Verbena delightful. After a day of sightseeing....we were thrilled to retire to our bed which featured down pillows and a heavenly soft down comforter.....The staff was friendly and courteous and well informed about the area. Our mornings and evenings were greeted by the staff's smiles and bon jour's bon nuit's and bon soir's. The hotel bar Liberte has a great happy hour and in addition to great drink specials the bring you a little "nosh" of nuts, wasabil peas, and cheese crisps. "Not what we expected"
The desk staff was very courteous although a little aloof. The conditions of parking your car was never explained or mentioned, so the hefty bill for parking upon check out for 4 nights, was a little bit of a surprise. The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress pad kept sliding off of the bed throughout the night. You can hear people walking and talking in the hotel hallways and doors closing through out the night made a good nights sleep impossible. The bed was really funky. "Nice hotel, good location"
The concierge, William, was especially helpful. He was very busy that morning but he never made us feel rushed and was very thorough in helping us make plans for the day.
