"Not as good as usual"
We love this hotel and have stayed here several times, but this time we felt that the room we had was not as good as usual. The heat was uncontrollable and even after maintenance tried two times to fix it, it was extremely warm. Since this was over Christmas and there were only about 40 rooms occupied, I think we could have been given a better room […] for the holidays. "Charming Older Hotel that met our needs."
Came to Philadelphia to see the Red Sox v. Phillies game. We were skeptical about staying here based on some of the unflattering online reviews we had read. Well most of those reviews were wrong! This is a lovely hotel with excellent, friendly staff. The rooms are not soundproof and the ice machine on the 16th floor was not working and YES the elevators […] are really slow- these are all slight inconveniences. The real inconvenience was when President Obama not only came to Philadelphia on one of the days we were there, but actually came to the Hyatt Bellevue to give a speech. Security was tight and all hotel guests were detoured to using different entrances and elevators. Even walking in front of hotel was impossible! Our stay at the Hyatt Bellvue was short and sweet as our visit in Philly was to do the Constitution Walk. It was the perfect place to lay our head before the rest of our vacation in NJ.
