The airport is south of Center City and one SEPTA train ride away. In South Philly, locals choose between Pat’s and Geno’s for an authentic cheese steak. Both are in the 100-year-old Italian Market, an open-air market spanning 10 city blocks. Major professional teams play at venues near the airport including Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park, and Wachovia Center.

"Great Convenience -but overpriced for what you get"
The staff is wonderful, from front desk, to the bell man to the workers in the hotel store. My criticism is likely for corporate, but I'll post anyways. I paid $400 for a standard room. It isn't the Omni, the W or the Hollywood Roosevelt, that's for sure, and for $400 I can get an upgraded room or suite with lavish amenities. The hotel room is a standard […] looking hotel room. Will I stay here again? Absolutely. Because that's the key advantage of this hotel - location. I love how I can go straight to my terminal from the 2nd floor. The hotel is not dumpy and like I said, it's a standard hotel for a Marriott in my opinion and has a welcoming staff. But still, $400 for a standard room is still high for what seems like just another Marriott Hotel. It still has decent amenities like room service, pay-per-view movies, etc. If you've never stayed in a hotel at an airport, I'd suggest trying it out by staying here. It makes life so much easier. I arrived at 5:30am from LAX and had to wait until 8:30pm for a flight. I dumped my luggage, took a nap, got a taxi to go downtown for business, and then left 1 1/2 hours before my flight straight from the hotel. No shuttles. No long walks. No rushing. I even had time to sit in the restaurant section and enjoy a drink before I headed out. I just know many won't even consider the hotel due to its high prices. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location; disappointing service"
We stayed at the Airport Marriott to catch an early morning flight. The location is superb. Unfortunately the service was surprisingly bad. We requested a taxi into town from the front desk with 30 minutes of lead time. When we went downstairs for our dinner reservation in Center City, no taxi was waiting, nor was there one that the hotel could call […] on short notice. Worse, our requested early-morning wakeup call never came, which would be fatal for an early-morning flight. Recommendations: (1) Consider other hotels nearby with shuttle service. (2) Consider the inexpensive SEPTA trains which run every 30 minutes to Center City (30th St station) rather than a taxi ($28.50 each way plus tip). (3) Set your own alarm and/or use the clock in the room rather than trusting the hotel staff to get you to the plane on time. (We did, as I have been burned by this before.) "Overpriced and disappointed"
It was the total convenience, right at the airport and I happened to be able to book it on a good deal through Expedia. But, the laundry facility was not open due to some construction. After a week of road trip and having already returned a rental car, that was a shock. Also the business center wasn't open when I wanted to print some docs. The room […] was nice, but there were some stains on the desk chair and window treatment (drapery). I had to scrub some yucky food stain out of the chair to sit on. They charge you for internet, both wired and wireless. The hallway smelled bad because room service food tray from another room was left on the floor all afternoon through the night. There was another dirty food tray left at the ice machine/vending machine area. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, though. Overall, I'm sorry to say our experience didn't go well with the big name image of Marriott. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"not great"
i recently stayed at the kimpton hotel Monaco in Old Town, Phila. then had to spend one night at the PHL airport Marriott and the experience was like day and night. for the same nightly rate, the Kimpton Monaco provided superior accommodations and superior customer service, while the Marriott was just Ok for accommodations and poor on customer service. […] The ONLY reason to choose the Marriott is its location to the airport for an early morning flight. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A decent place to stay"
I booked this location because none in the city center had any vacancies. We came from north route 95 but did not know there was no exit 10 on the south bond. Upon checking in, the staff member did not mention about our pre-paid breakfast until I asked. He initially said we don't have it until I showed him my printout from Expedia, he then acknowledged […] what we paid did include the breakfast. So, where went wrong? Room was smaller than what we saw but clean. The towels were old but clean. Dinner was expensive, $94 for two, and we had a loud next door neighbor. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Location is nice, but there may be better options"
I was glad to have it attached to the airport for our 2 AM arrival, but we still had to carry all our luggage a 10 minute walk to get to the hotel entrance, which wasn't as clear as they said it would be. Then for the return flight, we still had to use a shuttle to get to our gate. If you have to use a shuttle anyway, there may be better options with […] more value. The buffet was well worth paying for in advance if you do stay there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for an early morning flight"
The Marriot is conveniently located for travelers who wish to catch an early flight, which is why I stayed there. There isn't much else that would entice me to saty there again. The room had a distinctive odor which I guess simply reflects the age of the room and it's furniture. I would not stay there for more than the necessary night and I'm sure Philadelphia […] has more to offer than this. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to the airport but noisy"
What you pay for at this hotel is extreme convenience in checking in for your flight. It's a two minute walk to the closest security line. However, the building's age shows in how noisy it is. We heard everyone who walked up the hall and conversations in the hall. I always carry earplugs when travelling, so not the biggest of problems. But at this price […] I expected better. "Only stay if convenience is your concern"
The best thing that can be said about this hotel is that you don't have to leave the terminal to get there. We chose to stay here due to a flight that arrived at 1:30 am, and we didn't want to drive or wait for a shuttle. Our room was very dated, especially the bathroom, and the bed was very uncomfortable. Everything save for the TV seemed that it needed […] to be replaced. Very disappointing for a hotel in the Marriott brand. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cost"
For the amount we paid for 2 days internet should have ;been included in the price of the hotel. They gave us a handicapped room and we were not handicapped and when we took a shower water went all over the floor. There was no kleenex in the room one thing of coffee and no condiments for the coffee.
