The Latham Hotel is a modern boutique hotel located in downtown Philadelphia, Pa., close to shopping, entertainment, and dining. Nearby museums and historic landmarks include the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the National Constitution Center. Rittenhouse Square, two blocks away, is one of the original open space parks planned by William Penn in the late 17th century.

Built in 1907 and renovated in June 2012, this landmark hotel is listed as one of Philadelphia’s historic treasures by the United States Department of Interior. The Latham has been updated with modern conveniences for the contemporary traveler; a concierge is available to assist with transportation needs and event arrangements, a business center, and complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel. Urban Enoteca, the hotel's restaurant, servers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Room service is available 24-hours. This hotel is a smoke-free property (fines apply for violations).

Guestrooms at the Latham Hotel are all renovated and some feature large bay windows offering city street views. Amenities include writing desks and chairs, complimentary bottled water, and premium television channel(s).

We had two rooms for three days over a weekend. The rooms were comfortable and beds were great. Liked the individual small reading lamps. We stayed here for one night while college-shopping in the Philadelphia area. The Latham is excellently located to access many sites in Philly, and aside from being a clean, lovely, bargain hotel, the customer service is beyond expectations. "Latham Hotel in Philadelphia - mid center city"
Very nice stay at a very nice hotel. We were just travelling by Philadelphia spending the night on our way to Washington after a visit in Atlantic City, and booked the hotel in last minute the night before checking in. We were very happy and pleasently surpirced when arriving at The Latham Hotel - the hotel is located just in the middle of center city, […] where everything is located within few minutes of walk - just perfect. Upon arriving we met a really friendly and smiling piccolo who right away offered great service and valet parking. He helped us with our luggage and mad the check-in go very fast and smooth. The roooms were clean and tidy, and even if the room were fronting the main street, there was very little noise from traffic. The only thing we did not get was a fridge on the room, wich our friends got - so they apparently have fridges around in some of the rooms. Other to mention was that the wireless internet connection was a bit lousy as we had to have our door open and sit in the doorway to keep connection at all. To make the connection in the first place we had to go to the elevators where the router is located. I guess the rooms closest to the elevators have far better connection than we had. Friendly staff, great location. It was also a real low fare when wechecked in, so it was great value. The hotel was surrounded by every thing we needed out of the 7 days we was rode the bus only 3 times. Every thing else was in walking. The Bell Hops were was helpful on all shifts. "Do yourself a favor - book another hotel"
While the location is great and service is very attentive and nice, the quality of the hotel is seriously lacking. 1. Only 1 elevator was working (plan your departure accordingly). 2. Clean but very old and disheveled, watch out for holes under carpets - tripping hazard. 3. The WORST bed we ever slept in, I would rather sleep on the floor, pillows were […] no better.
