Although the hotel was nice, not a great value. We selected this hotel in the city because of the pool for my youngest child. Unfortunately the pool was closed while we were there. This was very disappointing for a seven year old child. Hotel staff was not concerned or apologetic. Very disappointed in the service for the cost of the stay. Cost of parking […] is also very expensive! $42 per night! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Okay"
The hotel was very nice, but our carpet in our room needed to be vacuumed, and the pool, especially the hot tub (which smelled so funky I wouldn't use it), was cloudy. But the location was good and the people were nice. The eating places in the hotel were priced RIDICULOUSLY. Room service had a bagel and coffee for $22. Please.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent location, very comfortable hotel."
Lovely hotel. Pool is great and location can't be beat. But why doesn't every hotel offer free wi-fi? It seems outdated not to.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Pool"
We stayed at the hotel while it was under construction and as a result many of the hotel rooms were under refurbishment and several areas were blocked off. I have been to the hotel years ago and it really was a nice place to stay. I would advise waiting until the hotel is done being refurbished. The Starbucks closed at 5 and the only way to get coffee […] was at the bar/restaurant which was very expensive. The doors to the sides of the hotel locked early and the hotel is not well lit around the back, so it felt a little dicey walking around to the front. The pool was great, our kids loved it. Location was in walking distance to a nice restaurant and movies and to the Riverfront. Front desk was more concerned with chatting on the phone with friends than with answering questions I had. I called and left a message with the manager to let them know about my experience and they never got back to me. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Pros- Good location. Found close parking for $18 a day close by (vs. The hotels $39 per day). Comfortable beds. Nice pool area and gym. Reasonable rates. Cons- needs upgrades (appears to be in progress). Very basic bathrooms with not so great shower. No views. Staff did not enforce pool rules- letting kids act like animals and ruining any sense of […] relaxation! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient but noisy and somewhat dated"
first night: wedding on premises leads to wandering groups waking us up multiple times until security shut down the last after party at 3:45 am Next day some large youth group in camping out in lobby Losy and expensive breakfast Shower so low that it hit me in the chest Hyattt close by has same location with better views and hopefully less group […] business Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Pleased!"
We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Society Hill in Old City Philadelphia. There are many wonderful, interesting, educational, and fun areas to visit within a lovely and convenient walking distance. We celebrated a 40th Birthday, ate at an authentic Irish restaurant, and enjoyed a fabulous majic show - all close by our lovely hotel. Also, we had our […] dog with us and he was treated wonderfully by the staff and we had no issues in terms of his walks etc. I would highly recommend the Sheraton Society Hill and I hope to back there in the near future as I felt I was on vacation while only being 20 minutes from my home in New Jersey. "Perfect for July 4th Penn's Landing (or any time)"
great stay, room service guy is absolutely awesome (asian gentleman). We were able to walk out the front door, walk over a highway via a walking bridge and, in less than 5 mins, we had perfect seats for fireworks. Only drawback was that the hotel couldn't keep up with the towels in the pool area, but short of that..., fantasticGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ben Franklin was right.Should have saved my penny!"
We booked an expensive Club level room. On arrival, room not made up from previous guests. Moved us to a different room at 9:00 PM. That room was much smaller. Between my wife, me and our 2 kids we literally had to travel single file between the beds and the dresser. We brought the problems to the front desk. They made it clear that because we booked […] through Hotels dot com, the Sheraton, although thet wanted to, couldn't comp our stay. All they could provide was a free breakfast, which we already had paid for since we had booked, through Hotels dot com, on the club floor. This was for sure not a 3 1/2 star experience. "sheraton society: return when construction is done"
I had a pleasant stay in this hotel three years ago but this time the restaurant and parts of the pool area were under construction. The former matters since there isn't any walkable food places other than bars in the area, and nothing immediately available. It was also disturbing that a loud group came into the pool and made a lot of noise well after […] 10pm when it was supposed to be closed. This was rectified after calling management but this should have been avoided. The whole group I was with complained about the beds' comfort and the lack of a plug for the tub was yet another sign of the negligence that seems to have crept into this hotel. Hopefully it will improve after the construction is complete. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Under construction!"
The hotel is under massive construction and the hallways were noisy at night (you have to slam the room doors shut to close them, so every time someone in a room in your hallway comes or goes you wake up. If you are going, make sure the hotel is no longer under construction. The rooms are very small (we had a room with a king bed). Finally, it too us […] about 35 minutes to get our car from Valet; just one poor guy running to get people's cars, one at a time.... Location is great though; really do wait till the construction is complete. Maybe they will fix the doors too, and have a few people on valet -- then it would be just fine. "Sheraton Society Hill -Nice but tips not included"
We booked this hotel through Hotels.com. Not very well executed on that end, but the hotel staff at the Sheraton fixed what they could of our reservation. The hotel is nice, comfortable, with Starbucks coffee in the lobby and in your room. Very helpful. The room itself was fairly modern, but no fridge, microwave or other comforts. Bathroom needed […] updating but was clean and serviceable. The area around this hotel included several of the old Philly Independence sites. Very well placed. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The exercise room was large, clean, and well-equipped. That said, the incidental expenses associated with staying here were shocking. There is no public parking, so it's $29 a day plus tip for the valet service or you're out of luck. Folks from back east may have no issues with this, but us country folk had a hard time shelling the cash... There are no restaurants near the hotel (that are reasonable). The hotel has a restaurant in it, but the prices are crazy. The 6-foot long breakfast buffet (with only minimal fare on it) costs $20 per person (plus drinks and tip). Breakfast for two was close to $50, which is insane for a small hotel buffet. After you're done tipping everyone from the bellboy to the wait staff to the parking attendant (to get your car back), you've easily spent an extra two hundred bucks for your stay. I don't recommend this hotel for folks on a tight budget. I do recommend the front desk staff, however, so if cost is no object, it's a great stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was a very pleasant experience indeed. Hotel has excellent facilities, and you can even walk to most attractions in downtown Philadelphia.
