The bed was super comfortable and the room itself was super clean. However, the room itself seemed to be a lot smaller than it was represented as online. The hotel itself is lovely in a great part of town. Great facilities, amenities. However, it's never great to be greeted by the desk telling you that no points will given for the reservation (never had a problem before booking through hotels.com) as well as them not honoring the basic request of a king room, rather than two twin beds. Rate is high, but the quality of the service doesn't match the rate. Waitress for food service is rude. Wi-Fi is not very usable. Also there's a strong smell of paint in the room. The windows cannot open.

Locatio is a plus. Close to downtown. Parking on-site is valet only, and it costs $32 PLUS $7 tax PLUS $2 tip...OUCH! There is a self park garage a block away. I'll try it next time. Other nearby hotels were at least $50 more per night yet this newly refurbished hotel was nicely done. My only complaint is the very loud noise upon arrival due to a function in the main lobby which lasted only until 7:30pm. I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference. The internet was down the entire weekend. Upon asking the front desk about it, I was told that I could contact AT&T directly to inquire about the hotel's wifi problem. This was also VERY noisy hotel. The middle of the hotel is open and there's a bar on the first floor and if you are anywhere near the […] balcony, the noise carries really loudly. I couldn't get to sleep before 1am any of the three nights I was there, and I was awoke about 1:30am one night by the noise from downstairs. My AC unit was also prohibitively noisy. There's also the very strange problem of the fact that there is no way to walk up to your room. All of the stairwells lead outside the building, none of them to the inside of the first floor. So, you have to take the elevator to your room every single time, which is time consuming and ridiculous, since I was only staying on the second floor. I will not stay there again. It was a poor trip and when I asked about the above issues with the front desk, no attempt was made to address my issues or move me to a different room. Read more

The Sheraton Society Hill could be THE place to stay in Philadelphia but it's going to need some work to get there. They are advertising improvements to the lobby which will help but the rest of the hotel is dated and worn. I had a very interesting corner room with nice windows but, in spite of the fact that it was labelled as "Non-smoking" it smelled […] as if it had been a smoking room for some time. Also, very curious that there was no dresser in the room; just a TV table with two smallish drawers. A bit pricey but ok for a hotel in a nice neighborhood. They really should tell you that many rooms face the interior of the hotel, so that your room can be seen at night by people in the lobby if your curtains aren't drawn. Sheraton Hotel is suppose to be a superior hotel and a land mark to other hotels. But when I got in the room, and this is NOT a smoking room, the smell of the room was unbearable. It smelled like a used rag. I was very disappointed because I have stayed there before and I don't remember it being this way..... 2 stars at best

While the service was very good upon check-in, when I checked out at 4am to catch an early flight, the front desk attendant was not very friendly. It also sort of bothers me when hotels charge an extra fee for Wi-Fi. It was quite expensive!
