    The room we stayed in was well maintained and very clean. We were concerned that the location may contribute to some traffic noise early in the morning... but even though our room backed up on a street there was no noticeable noise in the morning. While not right next to the lively downtown area of Athens it was a very short drive. Walking, even if a bit far, is also an option.     Our stay at the Foundary Inn would have been pleasing all around if it wasn't for the fact that on both mornings of our weekend stay there was no hot water for showers. We spoke to the hotel staff about this during check out and they claimed it was a one off, that they had issues with an element and that maintenance was supposed to have fixed it. The […] hotel appeared to be nearly fully booked (as it was a football game weekend), so I would make sure to double check this isn't a reoccurring problem during high occupancy weekends.     Hotel and staff of hotel were excellent. They have a shuttle that runs to downtown and back until 2am. Restaurant on site, Hoyt House, was aweful. Bad customer service. Nobody greeted us, service was very slow, and not friendly. Odd because hotel was so nice.

    I found this hotel clean and comfortable. I stayed there with my 7 year old son who enjoyed swimming in the outdoor pool. We also ordered room service in the morning which was very good.

    We love the Foundry. We always stay there when we are traveling to Athens. Anise, the waitress in the Hoyt House, recognized us from our stay over a year ago and made us feel very welcome. Zack, the night manager, was very helpful as well. We'll be back!
