    I got what I wanted and expected out of this hotel. A few things forced me to drop the ranking. There were Mike & Ikes on the floor beneath the desk:... this is inexcusable and it's why I give the hotel only 2 stars for cleanliness (it grossed me out thinking if they could miss two bright red jelly beans in plain view, what else did the cleaning staff neglect). It's in a newer industrial park/development zone with the strip mall-ish buildings a mile from downtown and two miles from MTU, so I had to knock points for location as well. But I would certainly return. Hopefully they'll return to the hygienic standards I expect from HIE upon reading about the Mike & Ikes and I wouldn't have to put up with it a second time. by a Hotels.com guest on 10/09/11

    The only problem we had was that the room smelled very much like cigarette smoke, especially when you first walk into the room. For a non-smoking facility, we were a little disappointed in that.
