"Amazing resort, great value and location"
We chose this hotel because it was close to the Tigers preservation station. Our room was awesome, facing the ocean with a great balcony. There were lots of pools, a lazy river, a whole arcade and outdoor grill by the pools/ocean. They let us check in early and had free parking. "Good (not great) hotel for NMB Divas Half Marathon"
The hotel was very clean and the staff was lovely. The rooms did not seem as though they'd been updated in a while, but were in good condition. However, though not the host hotel for the North Myrtle Beach Divas Half Marathon, it was one of the featured hotels for the race, which is why I was disappointed that it did not have late checkout on race day. Great place to stay. My wife and I have been staying at this resort for the last 5 year every Sept. and have enjoyed every second we were there. Just a couple of negatives the room needed a little maintenance, the cable for the TV was pulled out of the wall and the TV was not clear. After a little self maintenance I got it working. There were two small elevators to get to rooms which made it very difficult if you needed to use a luggage cart. We had to wait for three elevators before we could go to our room. "Fun hotel- lively, spirited, loud"
My husband and I and our 2-year old stayed at Beach Cove this past weekend and we had a blast. Of all the hotels we looked at, the pool area at Beach Cove had the lush look we wanted. I'll sum up our stay and the hotel as being fun, lively, spirited and kind of loud. We stayed in room 411 we liked and disliked. We liked it because it was on the 4th […] floor (which is really only the 2nd floor) and easy to walk down the stairs when the elevators were slow. It had a full view of the pool and a decent view of the ocean. We wish we were on a higher floor because it was so loud outside with the people and the sound of the fountains and music, we could barely talk on the balcony. Also, we (Building A) didn't have a sunrise view. The other side of the building (Building B, I think) had a much better view. It seems like the rooms that ended in higher numbers were better. For example, anything ending in 18 or higher had a better east-facing view. Next time (and we'll definitely be back), we'll request a room that is on the 6th floor or higher and one that has sunrise views. The rooms ending in 25 have the best views since you can see the furthest down the shoreline. The room had dated wallpaper and some 1980's decor, but for some reason, we loved it anyway and had so much fun. Really liked the layout of the room. The pools were nice but the largest hot tub did not have very many jets. My Mother & I stayed for the week of 5/7 thru 5/12. When we got to our room, the a/c was not working.
