The hotel was not flexible with early check ins. When booking it was not mentioned that the hotel is used as university dorms. When I got to my room the hallways smelled of smoke, music was very loud, shower water temperature was unable to be moderated. Called to the hotel desk to ask for music to be lowered and it was in vain. The same happened the […] second night of stay. This is not a HOTEL, but rather a dorm residence. I was impressed with the room. It had everything I needed for my 5 day stay. I was however, disappointed when I found out it is owned by IUPUI and it was mostly college students living there. When I got into my room I went to turn on the air conditioner. The carpet was so soaked around the air conditioner that there was actually a puddle. My overall experience and satisfaction of the Park Place at Center City was not very good. When I arrived in my room, I found that it smelled of cigarettes or some other type of smoking material. Is was unable to get the smell out of my room by opening windows for the length of my stay at the hotel. The front desk personnel were not very welcoming or […] approachable when I voiced my concerns about the room. I found out early in my stay that the shuttle service to the Indianapolis downtown area was not timely. I had to walk back to the hotel (2.5 miles) due to the shuttle service not being on time and ending their shuttle service at inconvenient times during my stay in the Indianapolis area. I would not recommend this hotel to others and will seek other accommodations in the future when I come back to the Indianapolis area. Read more

I only stayed for one night, but this place reminded me of my first apartment. 2 bedrooms, kitchen and living room. I would have liked to enjoy the pool, but ddn't have time due to work constraints. Very clean, and I was able to get to downtown for a meeting quick and easy in the morning.

The "motel" is actually a dorm for college kids and they rent some rooms out as a motel.That isn't so bad, just somthing to be aware of. We got 2 rooms, both 1 bedroom non smoking. 1 room was exactly like I would have expected, very nice, clean. The second room was very poor condition. The walls were cracked and the kitchen was falling apart. There […] was no socket for the deadbolt to go into the door jamb. The bathroom was very small. There was an ashtray in the room and it smelled strong of smoke. The lady at the desk assured us it is a non smoking room and removed the ashtray which apparently makes the room non smoking. Other than the check-in experience, I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Sometimes when you book online you just don't know what you will get. The room was a small, fully equipped apartment. I wish I had more time to enjoy it to its full potential. But arrived late and left early. Everything was neat and orderly. Where do I begin... the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor, there was NO counter space for toiletries, there was broken wall plaster on the floor, there was something disgusting in the sink (looked like chewing tobacco), the AC did not work...finally after 90 minutes and a second call, someone came to fix it. I cannot understand the negative reviews this hotel received. It was very clean and the grounds were also well kept. The only negative is it is in need of room darkening shades- too much light shining through at night. I would call this place Indianapolis' Best Kept Secret -- great price and very clean.

The price does not reflect ll you get at this suite hotel. the rooms are very large with full kitchens and king size beds. The pool is heated and open until 1100pm . The small store in the lobby.has basic needs . and goodies. The staff were helpful and courteous. My stay was pleasant

As I walked in it immediately reminded me of an old college dorm. When I talked to the clerk she confirmed that during the school year the top half is all apartments for the college kids. It was clean, full kitchen fully equipped, separate living room, separate bedroom, exactly as advertised. Everything was cheap looking and the rooms were small.
