HorribleGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Days inn post road is very tired. Does not deserve 2 stars. Sheets were well used, Ice maker did not work and breakfast was a joke. Overpriced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room needs maintenance!"
I've stayed in various Days Inn locations in several states, but the room I had probably was the worst I've experienced. I could physically move the toilet and sink with very little effort. I found a half eaten potato chip and a hair tie in plain sight on the floor. I also did not sit in one of the chairs because there was a white powdery residue stained […] on it. The bedding on one of the beds (a double-bed) was damaged (the other bed was fine). Also, an electrical outlet behind one of the beds was ripped out of the wall and it was not usable. I'm very surprised that this specific room was booked. The surrounding area is also noisy at night. The hotel staff I communicated with were very friendly and polite. I also enjoyed the convenience of a couple of 24-hour restaurants a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is easy to access. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rates not in touch with realities"
This should not be a Days Inn, we chose this because the price wasn't bad and it was a Days Inn, and overall I have had good luck with them in the past. Days Inn are usually a pretty stable choice, for a clean, comfortable stay at an average price. This one was neither. The hotel is well past its prime as is just about everything there. If the rates […] had been half of what they were I would have expected this, but being a Days Inn and the price I paid, it was dissatisfying to say the least. My only savings grace for it, was that it was for 1 night only. And while the picture on Expedia looks to be of the actual Hotel, my guess is that it was taken around 20 to 30 years ago. "Rip off at half the price"
I've stayed in dumps before, in Chicago and Detroit and Richmond (VA); calling this place a dump would be am insult to those places. It's such a dump that ants won't even stay there! Peeling paint, stains on walls, sloppily 'folded' towels, broken shower rod, pulled up carpet, and an abandoned shopping cart under the stairs. Ugh!Genuine Expedia guest review
It was the bare minimum for a days Inn. The weirdest thing was the night clerk who came out of his office to watch us eat our complimentary breakfast just like a hawk! It was so rude because there was just the two of us (and Him) on a Saturday morning at 6:30am. It felt like he was making sure we didn't take any extra jam or syrup! I felt unsure about […] how much orange juice or coffee I poured. It was very unwelcoming, rude, and awkward because he never said a word, or offered assistance. He just watched us and listened to our conversation. I should have said something to him but it wasn't worth it because we ate as fast as we could and left. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
While the location off the highway was great, that is where the greatness stops. The room was clean but showed extreeme wear and tear. Patches all over the wall, shower curtain rod coming off the wall and chipped furniture was where I slept for the night. The staff was very nice and that was a plus! The breakfast they had available was only available […] until 9:30am?? Next time I will prepare ahead of time and drive past this location! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Musty and noisy"
The perfumed scent of the cleaning supplies and the fabric softener attempted to cover over the musty odor of the room. We couldn't keep the fan on full-time to mask the noise from the neighboring room if we also wanted heat; we chose the full-time fan over the heat. The lobby is very small; the breakfast offerings did not include oatmeal or fresh fruit. […] They had waffles, bagels, English muffins, raisin bran, fruit loops, milk, and coffee. Will not stay here again. Not the cleanest. Burnt out lights, the toilet ran non stop. Would not reccomend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good experience but lobby could be improved."
While the hotel was comfortable and clean inside the room the lobby area was extremely small and was not the most pleasing thing to see. Also the room did not have a fridge or a microwave, not that big of a problem but would have been nice, While those small things stood out the overall experience was better than expected and was closely located to […] various restaurants and stores. The building is just old. The staff was was very nice. The room was fine for a short stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No bugs or rodents!"
My second stay here, last time was 4 years ago. Only stayed again because choices were limited. It was just okay overall, improvement in staff. Ladies at the front desk were much more courteous and helpful than the management that was present years ago. Seemed like they are still there, but have hired hourly help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Expected much more"
We could see that the bathroom had not been cleaned from the night before i.e. hair and soap in bathtub. The maids pushed a shopping cart around when they were going through rooms. We were glad we were only staying one night.Genuine Expedia guest review
Carpet was wet. Apparently they shampooed them and didn't allow ample time to dry. We had NO bath towels and went to office to get some. Attendant on duty virtually argued with me that there should be 3 in my room. He proceeded to give me 1 bath towel and said we could get more when house keeping came in at 8. Our plans required us to check out at 6 […] so needless to say my husband had to use a hand towel to dry off with. Not satisfied at all and will never stay there again!! "DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING UNATTENDED IN YOUR ROOM"
The check in clerk was friendly but service went down hill from there. The housekeeping staff does not clean your room and make the beds on a daily basis. They only bring in fresh towels. My 19 year old left her IPOD under her pillow when we left one morning. Upon return to the hotel her IPOD was gone. The front desk was not helpful in resolving this […] matter at all. Will NEVER stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Post road Days Inn Indy"
We stayed here because of the closeness to I-70..It was surprisingly quiet, however the carpet was so dirty I had to wash the bottom of my slippers, the walls needed painted and they was a dead roach under the sink...It appeared someone had tried to kick in the door since it didnt close all the way...I put a chair up against it..In the morning before […] checking out we went down to the continental breakfast which was a joke..there was 4 pieces of bread in a tray...we checked out and went to Hardees across the street.
