Extended Stay America - Indianapolis - West 86th St.

We expected much more from this hotel seeing that we paid a VERY HIGH PRICE for the suite. We arrived and there was only one worker, unavailable and away from desk. Our first suite the toilet leaked all over the ground and was so small and dirty. It smelled of smoke (non-smoking room) and dog hairs were all over the sofa. The hotel had just been switched […] to all non-smoking but no renovations had been done to clean out stale smoke smell. There was dirt and grime all over the floor. After waiting for 2nd room for an hour, it was double the size for the same room type. It was again outdated and dirty (even kitchen items). The AC unit & fan were so old that it sounded like a jet engine in our room and we had to turn off in the night to sleep. Everything was outdated, unclean, uncomfortable and extremely basic for even a basic hotel room. There was nothing "sweet/suite" about it at all. We would have left but it was Indy 500 weekend - we did contemplate sleeping in our car instead of the hotel. Other guests were angered at front desk and left while we waited to talk to staff member. I took my family to this hotel before a day at the Indianapolis Zoo. The rooms were very spacious and clean but although we booked a two bedroom room, there was only a comforter on one bed and the pull out bed had no sheets at all and there were none stored anywhere in the room. When we went down to the pool we requested some extra blankets and the […] help basically told me that she didn't believe us that there was no comforter... Prime location right off the expressway, in the middle of everything you need and across from a gas station. Great for a long stay. Will probably be booking here on our next trip to Indianapolis as well.

This hotel was terrible. The weekend staff apparently is running a party service for her friends, so they can swim in the pool and stay in the rooms. We had to leave late night due to the altercation with the other guests at the pool.
