Let's see. The first room they gave me was already booked. The second room they gave me the key wouldn't work. The third room they checked for me didn't have AC. My daughter and I missed our flight, booked a hotel closed to the airport, not true, the hotel was12 miles away from the Indianapolis International Airport. "Worn Down and falling apart"
This was not even a decent stay. All I needed was a room with a bed but Jameson hotel claimed to have wifi in room, refrigerator, microwave, ect... There was non of these and the room was falling apart. The first room they assigned me wouldn't open when the key was put in. The person at the front desk told me that even if she gave me a second key it […] probably wouldn't work. When she assigned me to a different room the key did work but as I looked around the room the wall paper was peeling off the wall and when I looked closer to it I pulled the curtain and a cockroach was climbing up the wall. Since there was many things going on that weekend there were very few rooms available without spending over $100. I was alone without my family so I decided to stay, if they were there I would have left since they wouldn't give a refund. The next morning I woke up and went downstairs to see what type of breakfast they offered that was advertised to be included. Doughnuts, bagels, cereal, toast... expecting the basics,nothing extravagant but there was bare minimum. I went during the middle of their "breakfast time" and they had three cereals offered but only one gallon of milk in the refrigerator. Bagels and bread were by the toaster but there were no knives or butter/jelly for after they were toasted and about half dozen bananas. It took 5 times to finally get our room correct, 1st time - Key didn't work, 2nd time was not a double bed (as requested), 3 rd time key didn't work, 4th time a/c didn't work... "Disgusting Hotel that should not be called Hotel"
Upon checking - 1. The room was filthy... I had to clean the bathroom because housekeeping was not available to do so. 2. The bathtub tiles where falling off the wall and the tub had the appearance of some sort of substance inside of it. 3. The beds were old and lumpy with "white" sheets, more like the sheets were multicolored from white to dingy white […] to yellow supposed to be white. 4. There was stains on the pillows which I choose not to use, one of the stains was clearly blood. 5. The Wifi which was nonexistent even though I found 13 access points. 6. "Potential Code Violations - Overworked staff"
We checked in and the door wouldn't open using the key card. Manager told me "I'll open it for you just this once and we'll have maintenance come to the room tomorrow and fix it" I explained that was impossible as we we were traveling with small children....you get the picture. Of seven floors in the hotel only 12 & 7 were in use. The room was ice cold on our arrival. The through the wall heat pump took ours to warm up the room. Then the room became too hot because there was no thermostat. When the heat pump was turned off the room became immediately cold. It was most uncomfortable. I selected the Days Hotel in Indianapolis as it had the last remaining non-smoking room available during my scheduled stay. I must say, as a fairly frequent business traveler, my previous aversion to this hotel chain is well warranted. Not only was the room very noisy - the hotel is located mere feet away from the Interstate, which is constantly under […] late-night construction, and under the arrival path for the airport - but (1) the shower did not work, (2) the advertised wireless service did not work, and (3) there wasn't even a remote control for the television. Add to that the fact that the hotel was filled with teenagers attending the Future Farmers of America convention who thought it amusing to push all the buttons in the elevators, and you have a miserable experience.
