"Noisy but nice"
We stayed one night here. We thought the hotel was nice but small rooms. We are used to staying in condos but couldn't get into our condo until the next night and airfare was much much cheaper to fly the day we did. The hotel is right across the street from the Harbor. "nice change of pace for frequent visitors"
Very relaxing and visually pleasing hotel and pool area. We were there Monday through Thursday, so no night club crowds (if that's still an issue). Food and drinks are not budget-friendly, but do not fail to satisfy. Actually, breakfast was pretty reasonable unless you tend to prefer diners or places like Denny's and IHOP. La ubicación del hotel es muy buena. A pocos pasos de la playa y la laguna frente al Hilton. Luego de visitar las playas de North Shore (Waimea, Sunset Beach, Turtle Beach, etc.) y Lanikai por el lado este (todas maravillosas), la verdad es que Waikiki no nos gustó mucho. その名の通り、全てが「モダン」の一言で片づけてしまうしかないですね。旧イリカイホテルを最新のインテリアで化粧直ししたホテルです。スタッフも「ホテルマン」というよりは、「カッコいいお姉さん＆お兄ちゃん」ということで、老舗のホテルのようなクオリティを求めてはいけません。ルームクリーニングをお願いしても来ないし、シャワーが丸一日使えないでクレームしたら「下のフロアーのフィットネスのシャワーをどうぞ～♪」という感じで全くお詫びの姿勢はなし。2階には森本シェフのレストランが入っていて、それはGOOD。1階には人気のクラブが入っているので、週末は夜中まで部屋に低重音の振動があり、イライラします。Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Modern Honolulu おしゃれなホテル★"
外観はあまり目立たないホテルですが、内装や客室内、プール（今回は時間がなくて利用できませんでしたが・・・）さらにはポーターの制服もおしゃれで、リゾート気分を高めてくれるホテルです。アラモアナとホノルル中心部のどちらへも少し距離がありますが、頑張ればどちらも歩いて行けました。バスやトロリーに近くから乗ることができるので、アクセスは問題ないと思います。マイナス点を強いて挙げれば、シャワーが高い位置に固定されているので使いづらいことと、タクシーの運転手さんにホテル名を伝えても通じないことです。ホテルの地図を見せて、住所と場所を伝えることをおすすめします。夫婦二人で、ハワイ島への移動前日の1泊のみの利用でしたが、それではもったいないほどおしゃれできれいなホテルでした。Genuine Hotels.com guest review

プールサイドでの映画上映があると期待していたのですがオーナーが変わっており無くなっていたのは残念でした。 しかしフロントを含めスタッフのサービス等は特上レベルです。 また、レンタカーの移動ばかりになったり、食べ過ぎたりとかで太るのが心配の方はワイキキにもアラモアナセンターにも徒歩での許容範囲内です。 ちょっとした運動と思えば徒歩で移動するのがベストです。僕と子供二人も毎日朝食や夕食とショッピング等は徒歩で移動していました。さすがに帰りはタクシーを使うこともありましたが、駐車場を探すことを考えれば問題ないでしょう。 もちろん駐車場をバレットにしておけば、出かける際に時々人数分の水のペットボトルを持たせてくれます。 プールは、ヒルトンリゾートとは違い日当たりも良く日没まで楽しめます。 また金曜日と土曜日の夜は花火大会が目の前で繰り広げられていますので、ラナイでディナーをとりながら、またはプールサイドのベットやソファーで寝ころびながら鑑賞すればよいでしょう。 因みにシェフ森本の料理ですのでプールサイドやラナイといえど、食事も充分楽しめます。たしか和洋中のメニューがそろっていたような気がします。 ルーム内のネットは有線と無線の両方に対応しており、高速で助かりました。また、設定も名前とルームナンバーで至って簡単でした。 また個人的に好きなChart […] Houseも目の前でディナーであれば生演奏のバンドとともに楽しめます。 Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel ottimo, moderno, curatissimo nei particolari e nella cucina. Ottima posizione sia per la spiaggia a pochi metri, sia perchè è in zona centrale. Unico neo che ci è capitato: a metà soggiorno, alla mezzanotte sotto la porta ci è stato dato l'avviso per cui l'Hotel cambiava nome e gestione: Waikiki MODERN. Ovviamente per noi che soggiornavamo economicamente […] non cambiava nulla, ma l'atmosfera il giorno dopo era totalmente diversa: molto meno personale, servizio molto più scadente. Speriamo che si era trattato solo di inevitabili difficoltà iniziali del cambio gestione, per cui la situazione sarebbe migliorata nei giorni successivi.
