"Disappointing"
Well, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel staff lacks simple understanding of what service in a "luxury" hotel should be. Starting from greeting and check in the staff makes you feel like you owe them something! The room was not ready by 3pm, and when it was finally ready by 3.30, it was a wrong room ( one queen bed to accommodate 3 people). Fine, we do undersatand […] that you might be busy, but simple appology for your mistakes would be nice. Instead you get this: " If you want a different room, wait another 45 min. We are busy." So after you go straight to guest services and complain, you get the right room right away? Unacceptable!!!!!!! The rooms are ok. Small beds though. The cleaning lady was the only person to say hello and smile. One of the days the hotel had an emergency and hot water shut off. We got a note the night before.Thanks The pool is tiny, so the Hotel partners with Sheraton Waikiki to use their pool.Service at both pools is mediocre if not poor! There are few umbrellas and no one will move them for you. The pool men would watch you move your own chairs in the shade and not move a finger!!!! I even asked them if they enjoyed the show.... The beach is dirty and not private!!!!!! Private means just for the guests, not putting a rope around the area and separating it from public use, people!!!!! "The Royal Hawaiian Hotel - DO NOT STAY HERE!!!"
The hotel didn't live up to my expectation. They overcharge people for the hotel that they actually are. DO NOT GO HERE, YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY! I had to change rooms twice during my stay because I was VERY unhappy with them. The first room was dark and with the layout I couldn't even watch tv from my bed. I upgraded (had to pay ALOT more than I […] already had paid) and didn't even get what I asked for and then had to change yet again. "Will never go back to the Royal Hawaiian"
If your idea of a relaxing vacation is having to be up by 7am in order to reserve your pool or beach chair then this is the hotel for you. Front row pool chairs begin to be reserved with guest's belongings and hotel towels at 4.45am and are all gone by around 6.30am. Of course these guests do not return until 10 or 11am so the chairs are mostly empty […] until then. The highlight of your day at this resort is watching guests fight with other guests because the chair that they "reserved" at 6am now has someone else sitting on it. Hotel policy supposedly allows guests to reserve their chair for 90 mins but this is not enforced and I honestly think that the pool and beach staff think it's funny to watch the guests get into a fight. The restaurant staff were rude bar one nice gentleman. Housekeeping forgot to service our room on two days of our stay. What a joke that this hotel is rated 5 star or considered by Starwood to be a "Luxury Collection" hotel. Pay the extra money and stay at the Halekulani. "日本語コンシュルジュの態度が悪い"
1.スリッパを希望したが、2つとも子供用の小さいスリッパしか呉れなかった。(大人2人なのに) 2.バスタブのカランとシャワーの切替え部分が故障したので電話したが、すいませんの一言も無かった。故障したんだから直せば良いんでしょ・・・みたいな対応だった。 3.最初案内された部屋はシャワーのみの部屋だった。ロイヤルハワイアンのような高級ホテルでもこんな部屋があるんですね。エクスペディアのホテル案内にも書いてなかったし。これについてはベルボーイにリクエストしたところすぐにバスタブ付きの部屋に変えてくださった。(やさしいベルボーイさんで良かった。新しい部屋のカードもベルボーイさんが届けてくれました。)Genuine Expedia guest review
"残念・・・・"
ホテルスタッフに笑顔がほとんど見られませんでした。 今回ハワイは7回目で、10箇所のホテルを利用しましたが ワースト3に入る程、不快でした。 ホテルの立地とベランダからの景色は最高でしたが、スタッフの対応に何度も 不快感を覚えました。 ホテルの建物が素敵だっただけに、残念です。 喫煙所の場所が、庭の通路にあり、通る度にタバコ臭くて息を止めて 歩きました。 部屋の壁が薄く、隣の部屋の生活音が響きました。 もう2度と泊まりたくないです。Genuine Expedia guest review
