One block from the hotel lies a stretch of Waikiki Beach with a breakwater—Kuhio Beach—which creates calm, pool-like swimming conditions. Waikiki Beach offers snorkeling and all other sand and surf activities. The hotel is also one block from Kapiolani Park, with its tennis courts, jogging paths, the Honolulu Zoo, and the Waikiki Aquarium. "Dissatisfied with hotel"
Personnel was very friendly, but stay was unpleasant because bed sagged, pillows were flat, a light near the ceiling flashed on and off throughout the night, and an alarm clock went off early in the morning playing loud rock music. "Very pleasant stay in Hyatt Place"
We stayed in this hotel two times always for 5 nights during our family vacation to Hawaii.First time we had a ocean view standard room which was not what we expected because the balcony is very small and the view is very limited because of other hotels staying closer to the beach.But for the second time we got a standard room with the view at Diamond […] Head with two queen beds as we wished and the room number 1141 was great!! Large enough and comfortable for the family wih 2 children. Just a bit of musty smell in the room was a minus point. Also the breakfast included is very usefull even if there are not many variaties and even if you may have problem to find a seat in the busy morning. If so you still can bring your breakfast in your room. Just the swimming pool is very very small. Our hotel was recently remodeled which made it very appealllng .It was two blocks from the beach and in an excellent location in Waikiki.Every tour we took had pick up at our hotel or across the street.The hotel staff from the front desk to the cleaning people did a very good job.I give them a overall 4 because we booked our room 5 months in advance […] for our anniversary and booked a room with a king size bed with water view and it was not available when we checked in.We were given compensation for their error and we did recieve an upgraded room to the penthouse floor, but would have rather had what we booked given our occasion there. I stayed in this hotel for 4 days in January. The room was big and clean, and the beds were comfortable. Although the pool wasn't all that special, it really didn't matter since the hotel was just a short walk to Waikiki Beach. There are a lot of positive thing about the hotel: - it is very very new and clean; - the general look is really impressive; - It is really 'value for money' deal, incuding the location close to the beach; - the breakfast is good. Since it is 'complimentary' you aren't supposed to require a full english breakfast, but it is a good continental one with […] lots of healthy options. However, there are a few things that could be improved: - don't be tempted by MOUNTAIN VIEW. It's not worth it (see photo); - there is no informative guest directory in the room; - information about checkout time was a bit confusing with the poster in the room saying it was 12pm and the hotel staff claiming it was 11am; - there was visible dust in public areas; - on the first night we had problems connecting to the hotel WIFI network and the staff could not help us since they don't have any IT specialists in their hotel. Instead, we were given a phone number of their IT services provider, which was not very helpful. In the end, we managed to solve the problem on our own; - finally, we received no oral apology upon arrival about the unauthorised charging of our card by the hotel earlier. Good hotel. Two blocks from the beach. Easy walk to the tidal pool with our 18 month old son. We had buffet breakfast included in our stay which made a big difference. Easy access to tours with busses and shuttles so no need to rent a car. They even have beach towels you can sign out on a daily basis. Overall a good choice. No in room dining though. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The entire hotel was freshly remodeled within the last two years. The hotel staff was very friendly. I liked some of the little modern things that the rooms had like two electrical outlets at each bed side. My wife and I did not have to hunt for outlets to plug in our cell phones. A newspaper was delivered every […] morning, and we liked the really nice HD LED TV in the room to turn on while getting ready to go out. This hotel has parking, but to save money, we parked at an independent garage across the street which has 24 hour parking for $12 or you can purchase a 7 day pass for $72. The free morning breakfast was great. Get there early to avoid the large crowds and sometimes we had to chase away a pigeon away trying to get a free bite to eat. As for the location, it is less than five minutes from the beach. If you decide to go on an excursion, most of the tourist companies stop out in front of the hotel to pick you up since the hotel is located in a prime area. "Family Visit"
The hotel is very nice, clean, easy to get around and staff is very nice. The location is a bit far from the shopping and a larger variety of food establishments, but easy to get on major road to get to my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids. The pool is quite small and in somewhat of a wind tunnel, cold even on a very warm day, so didn't have a chance to enjoy that. I asked the receptionist about a complaint form and was told they would email to me, it's been over a week so I will vent here, sorry.
