Waikiki established its reputation as a getaway when the Moana Surfrider opened its doors in 1901. Today, more than 30,000 hotel rooms are packed in the skyscrapers along the golden sands of Waikiki Beach. At the end of Waikiki, Diamond Head towers as an enduring landmark. West of Waikiki, Pearl Harbor offers a somber testament to history and the victims of World War II.

Personnel was very friendly, but stay was unpleasant because bed sagged, pillows were flat, a light near the ceiling flashed on and off throughout the night, and an alarm clock went off early in the morning playing loud rock music. Room was advertised as "ocean view" and I booked it for my wife to enjoy, but it should have been listed as a "partial […] ocean view" owing to the several buildings between the room and the ocean. ""Just disappointing""
The breakfast was a big disappointment for us as we chose this hotel over a similar hotel just because it had breakfast included. They gave us a room on the first floor with the terrible noise from air conditioning unit in downstairs balcony and the noise from the street as well! I was willing to pay more and upgrade to a better room and they said no […] other room is available. We also missed the first night of our stay as our flight was delayed and they charged us the full rate for that night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice rooms, but breakfast an all time low!"
Rooms are OK at this hotel, parking is available opposite at $12 for 24hrs, but you need to excuse the continual noise through the thin walls of the lift pinging loudly at every single floor. However, the breakfast service and a good couple of stars below the standard of the rest of the premises. The eating area is entirely outside adjacent to the […] swimming pool, and has no roof whatsoever. The result being that, on a day such as today (9th Sept 2012), when the area is suffering from a stiff breeze, food goes flying everywhere, which the local birds then swoop down to steal - hygenien not being a consideration. The breakfast itself is of a poor selection compared to other USA hotels I have stayed at in the pasted - the only hot item offered each day being a muffin with a scrambled egg patty and a piece of ham in it - no choice, no variation so far in the three days we've been down. Also offered is a rotation of tepid pancakes or waffles,a selection of low grade cereal, and bread for toasting (as long as you can stop it blowing away). No butter is offered, only a vegan oil spread which makes the toast wet, and the same monotonous, sour pineapple and melon combo is rolled out each morning. I don't know if I will be entertaining this food for the rest of my stay, I might just go and buy breakfast elsewhere. A complaint was made to the front desk this morning but I expect, like many large operations, nothing will come of it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't let the Free Breakfast Buffet sway you!"
Key Points: Very small pool. Same boring food everyday. They change the bed linens every 3 days, even if they're dirty. Slow elevators. Seriously. You press the button and it seems like you wait forever. My husband and I came here for a week-long vacation and were disappointed with this hotel. When we arrived, the mini-fridge was not even plugged in […] and there was a pool of water. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the location and the free breakfast buffet. If you don't mind eating the same thing everyday, it will work for you. They don't have a huge selection; they have their much advertised "breakfast skillet" but the food is pretty much the same: some type of biscuit breakfast sandwich that differs a little every day, the only fruits that they have are pineapple chuncks, and a berry mixture (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) that is not fresh cut fruit (previously frozen). They have cereals and oatmeal, milk, orange juice, apple juice, tomato juice and coffee. This hotel claims to be "eco-conscious" by changing the linen every 3 days. If you want your linen changed daily you leave the little card on the bed, which I did. The third day of our stay, I cut my leg and a bit of blood was smeared on the bed sheets. I noticed that they weren't changing my linens because I noticed the same blood smear the next day and the next on the other side of the bed! Unprofessional. I will NEVER go back to this hotel. *Their checkout time is 11 am-not 12!* Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good location but disappointing"
We stayed for 10 days and did request a mountain view, but alas we had a building view, sheets were changed only once. Staff at front desk not much help for general information. Phone - complained twice and was told we were probably using it wrong? Breakfast was a very basic one - not catering for everyone. Room was satisfactory but windows rattled No […] information of room service was available in the room, need to put an in-room booklet for basic information about the hotel. Good location for beach and shopping. The most wonderful check out man was delightful at 4.45am in the morning, compared to most of the staff, very pleasant, but could not help much in regards to best shops etc. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"hyatt place"
Totally understaffed. Took us an hour to get our car from valet parking. No real restaurant or bar. Swimming pool is a joke. In the shade most of the day and is tiny. Would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not the worst hotel.... but....."
This hotel is ok. But, you will probably find somewhere nicer for the same price. The room needed a good cleaning, not just a surface clean. It was very dusty and lots of previous guest leftovers behind the sofa. When we checked in coffee mugs were dirty and the toilet seat was filthy.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach Aloha Guest, Mahalo for your review. We sincerely regret to learn that your guest room was dirty upon arrival, but this will be addressed with our Director of Housekeeping immediately. "期待外れでした"
リニューアル後、数年しか経っていない(?)ようなので、全体的にきれいでした。ただ、いつもよりちょっとのんびりしようと思って、普段利用するランクのホテルよりも、少し奮発したつもりでしたが、期待外れでした。設備面のみならず、スタッフの応対もあまり良くなかったです。もう少し安くて、納得感のあるホテルは他にもあるので、たぶん次回は利用しません。Genuine Expedia guest review
