"Cool spot, if you're down with panhandlers outside"
I've never written a review. This is my first, and sadly, it ain't good. I'll break this down in 3 area's. 1) my shower leaked onto the floor and caused me to stand in an inch of water to get ready. I told the front desk, they didn't send anyone to clean it until the next day. 2) When I asked them to give me more towels (cause I used all my towels to […] stand on in my water filled bathroom), the poor lady at the front desk (who didn't speak english or was deaf) tried to move me to the hotel tower. Somehow, she mis-interpreted towel for tower about 5 times. I was just about to crack out some paper and Pictionary supplies before another guy realized what a towel was and helped me. 3). Last, right out front of my hotel room, I had a drug addict pan handler approach me with the longest sob story ever (ultimately needing cash, shocking) that I had to warn to get away from me as I tried to enter my room. So if you're down with all this, killer stay. If your normal, take your chances somewhere else. Sadly, next stay I'll probably stay with my aunt on her couch, which is an upgrade from this joint.. "Bait and Switch"
I booked this hotel as I was traveling cross country because it was advertised to have all of the amenities I needed (garage parking, black out curtains, to name a few) and seemed to be a very reasonable rate. You get what you pay for. It should be known that there are essentially two properties here, one being a normal hotel with garage parking, controlled […] access, etc. The other being the surrounding two story motel. I was unaware that by booking a "Courtside" room that meant I would be in the latter. The room was out-dated, contained slatted blinds that didn't provide any darkness, the lock on the door was extremely unsecured. Being a female, traveling alone with all of my belongings in my car, I needed somewhere safe to stay and this was NOT it. When attempting to explain to the front desk my issue, it was clear they were not concerned whatsoever and merely told me their cancellation policy so there was nothing they could do to help me. I checked out 15 minutes after checking in and went to a reputable hotel nearby that actually followed through with the services they advertised. You get what you pay for and in this case it was a dumpy motel and rude service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Snobs"
When I went there from the door person the ballet drivers the hotel desk person and the shop owners were complete rich snobs and wouldn't even give me the time of day. I will never stay there again. When we go to our room the bathroom rug had spots of blood on it- it was pretty gross.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beware the Courtyard Rooms"
This "4 star" hotel is not really a 4 star hotel for every room. They have a tower and tower rooms like a normal hotel, and then they have courtyard rooms that are like a motel 6. Unfortunately for us, we got a courtyard room and it really sucked. It wasn't a 4 star experience, it wasn't even close, it was more like a 2 1/2 star room, and it only gets […] that much because the bed was nice. The bath had rust water come out the first time we used the taps, the toilet had a normal look and one of those public bathroom industrial handles to flush it, but it didn't actually flush good. The coffee maker was on a tray, with no plug so we had to make our coffee on the floor since the bathroom had no counter and the desk had no plug near it. Our room was on a very main street of SLC, and ALL NIGHT we heard LOUD, FAST traffic going past our window, almost like a freeway. A train blared through at 4 AM and woke us up. Construction workers were out across the street at 7 AM with the constant beeping of backing up. The A/C worked, but the fan didn't so there was no way to drown out the outside noise and the room wouldn't cool properly. They started painting the hand railing outside the room early in the morning, so there was wet paint everywhere. The lobby was nice, and maintained the 4 star deception until we got to our room. I would NEVER recommend this "hotel" more like motel to anybody. I couldn't have been more disappointed in this place. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City Utah"
First I was told they had roll away beds, not the case at all. Then I was told I'd be put as close to the pool and spa area as possible, accept I had to walk two blocks to get to the tower to use the facilities. Then I was told there was parking right out front of my room, while there was parking there they let four different trucks with trailers that […] took up 4-5 spaces a piece. I had to park and walk around the block to get to my room. Then at the very end of my stay a lady at the front desk decided to tell me what no one else offered throught the entire trip, that they could have given me another room free of charge with another bed and closer to the spa. Why did no one offer this at the begining of the stay when i was having the issue. So over all the stay was not the best ever. I would not stay there again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Poor Slumber"
I looked at the pics on Expedia and I certainly thought I would be staying in a nice room... not the case. I will go as far as to say that the bathroom size /setup and bed comfort ranked as by far the worst I've every experienced. The bathroom doesn't even have a fan! Very small, difficult to squeeze two average size adults into. The toilet is very […] low... it's almost like the bathroom was designed for very small people (I'm not a monster, only 6'0). Let's talk about the bed - dreadful. Both of us suffered from appendages falling asleep multiple times during the night - not to mention the bed lacks a that firm comfortable feeling one becomes used to in hotel rooms. We inquired about a new room and bed and were told, and I quote (I promise this is not exaggerated) "we know, we receive a lot of complaints about our beds. We're looking at a prototype". Well, that doesn't exactly do me any good now so we went back to our room defeated. Only positives I'll say about this hotel are that it was clean and location is convenient, that being said, there are plenty of other options and you'd do very well to choose one of them. I will never even consider this hotel again, and I'll be sure to spread the word to family and friends. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"short sheeted bed!!!!"
I was looking forward to staying here given all the other reviews. I was sorely disappointed when going to bed.. the base sheet was short of the mattress. When I called to have it changed, the 'manager' came and then proceeded to tell me that was normal. It was not normal for me to have my feet lie on the bare mattress. In retrospect, I was mildly disappointed […] that the wrong sheets were used, but what made it unacceptable was that the manager told me it was normal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I like Little America because:"
We spent our honeymoon 42 years ago in Little America, SLC. I traveled 230 miles with my married daughter to SLC for a shopping trip recently. I have stayed in other hotels 3-5 star hotels while in SLC while on business trips, conventions and etc. But when I personally make a reservation I pick Little America. It has NEVER disappointed me. It is the […] most wonderful, comfortable, elegant hotel that I have ever stayed in . . for the money. You can pay a lot more $$$ and have a beautiful room elsewhere but Little America Hotel is a CLASSIC in itself. It is simply and icon. A beautifully decorated hotel inside and out. The Tower, The Gardens, The Cottages are all so comfortable. I love Little America. It's like coming home. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Piece of Junk"
How is this hotel rated at four-stars? I have stayed in Motel 6's that are far better than this. Room was old and outdated. I found it impossible to get into the room with their quirky room key set-up they use. Oh, and the desk staff was no help at all. Never will I stay here again.

Genuine Hotels.com guest review
