We will never stay here again! WAY to many problems with the tenants living there. Music played all night long loud, people fighting outside of our room, along with smoking by our room, cops had to come at 3:00 in the morning, and it didn't stop then...another fight about 6:00 am. I couldn't find you because of the trolly tracks, then my room stunk so bad I couldn't sleep. "Noisey room & small bathroom"
The room was very noisey due to the walls not well insulated. The A/C unit was broken and very noisy had to shut it off to sleep. when called the front desk for help, his reply was that he is the only attendent on duty. "No Rest Provided"
The pipes connected to all water activity in the building are severely creaky. Anytime a toilet was flushed or a faucet ran, a continuous loud tap would start in the ceiling and throughout the building and would last for ten minutes at a time, which is very often when it is triggered by the entire building. I am a very heavy sleeper yet this still kept […] me waking all night long. Around five in the morning came when a crowd of people chose to wait outside our doorway for the city bus, because we were located near the busy street and office. For almost an hour they loudly conversed and banged around while smoking cigarettes on the stoop of our non-smoking room. Needless to say with the combo between these two I managed to arise feeling more tired and less rested than before I had "gone to sleep". "Not so great stay"
We got there the 1st night and opened the door to our room and the carpets had stains all over the place, the window had what looked like a bullet hole, the door didn't fit in the doorway correctly so even with the door shut we heard EVERYTHING outside! The toilet ran all night long and the pillows were so uncomfortable it was like they were just pillow […] cases filled with cotton balls! We didn't sleep at all that night because we could hear the people below us all night coming in and out and being loud, I swear the walls were paper! However the next morning we tried canceling our 2nd night and because we booked through hotels.com they make it impossible to cancel! So we asked the front desk if we could switch rooms. The lady there was very nice and let us switch and when we asked for more pillows she was happy to oblige. The room was non smoking but pretty sure it'd been smoked in as the smell wasn't pleasant, but it was a quieter room, and with the pillows it was a better nights sleep. Our stay at the economic lodge was absolutely horrible. The room was next to front desk and there was people constantly talking loudly all throughout the night. As we were checking in to the hotel the couple in front of us were asked if they were married and that there wouldn't be any funny business. How rude!! Also took about 30 minutes to check in even after he found my reservation. "Housekeeping Stole from Room!"
We have stayed at Econo Lodges many times while on the road, but never again. We usually don't get maid service, bu there were no do not disturb signs, so we thought it was fine. We were out for the day and returned to our room to find a very sentimental stuffed animal was missing from our room. My wife left it on the bed and it was gone when we got […] back. We complained at the front desk. They called back to the room and asked if we checked everywhere. A couple of minutes later, maintenance or housekeeping (not sure) was at our door with the stuffed animal. It was wrapped up in a bag and there was no explanation as to where it was found. Front desk, housekeeping, nobody had an explanation of how it got out of our room. Very disturbing. Don't think anything else went missing, but we just got home and are still checking.
