"not too happy"
The door to our hotel room would not latch unless you slammed it very. Also, they chose Friday night to refinish the hardwood floors in the lobby which meant the bar was closed down. It took them 30 minutes after we arrived 2 locate the reservation we had made through hotels.com.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not for a couple trying to get away"
We had a very nice meal in the main restaurant a little pricey but nice. We stayed in the bottom floor room and thought a heard of elephants were in the room above us. The first room we were put in was right next to the highway and we could hear the traffic. The moved us to another room on the bottom level and the traffic noise was better but could […] hear the guests above us moving all the time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Colorado Trip"
Stayed here because it had a full gym and I work out on a daily basis. But found gym to be under construction and very difficult to use with lots of stuff not working, no water on several days and provided temp water system empty, was very dissaponted. Also our room was flooded by upstairs people and they wanted us to pack up and move everything out […] a 6:00 am. they did clean up everything promptly but was a big issues as we needed the bathroom at that time and we could not use. They offer to comp us for our trouble but they never did and we had to almost beg for it. they could of done much better. Also everything is very far away, have to walk alot. "Great views but the staff needs some work."
I arrived around midnight (a woman traveling alone) and was not offered an escort to my room which I had to drive around the complex to then park away from the building and walk to my building. The room itself was nice and comfy but the bathtub had hair in it from a previous guest (yuk) and the soap appeared to have been opened, used and repackaged. […] Beautiful views from the balcony but the coffee in the room was terrible. For the price this hotel charges for rooms in this area I expected better service. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Off season...loud "guest" on patio outside bar...spewing expletives w/ her son....empty beer bottles on vacant tables....Our rm was on the second floor....could hear people walking in the room above and slamming drs....entire faucet in sink in bathroom was loose...exterior grounds seemed "tired" in need of spucing up. "Spotty service"
Hotel was fine, but efforts of some staff aren't what one expects from a "resort." Stood for five minutes during a non-busy time in sight of at least five staff members waiting to be seated in the restaurant, and finally walked away because none spoke to me. Came back next time, and two finished whatever activities they were working on before they spoke […] to me. Other staff were very polite, but top-notch hotels don't tolerate indifferent employees at any level. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"NOT A 4 STAR"
The hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms were disappointing and the overall of the hotel was not one that you would expect for a 4 star hotel room. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and overall felt like a nice put together 3 star hotel. Prices were extremely over priced for what you received. Would not stay here again when in town on business. […] I could imagine this hotel would be nice to stay with families or a weekend of golf. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"walmart of mountain resort hotels"
We expected a cozy hotel with a real resort feeling and we got a hotel that is spread out and gave a really strong commercial feeling. (felt like the walmart of mountain resorts),Genuine Expedia guest review

"Cheyenne Mt. Resort"
We were highly disappointed by our room at this resort. We were assigned a room that was lower level facing a parking lot which was designated a "courtyard view". There were visible dust balls and dirty patio windows plus it clearly felt like we were in a basement! We complained and were moved to an upper level room which looked out over the back of […] another building and its large air conditioning units which were quite noisy and annoying. The bathtub faucet was hanging off the spout and though maintence came to repair it, it fell off soon after. The amenities of the resort are wonderful but the rooms leave alot to desire. We paid a very high rate for a very undesirable room! There was raw plywood around the ac unit in our room; it looked like the framing had been ripped off. The granite counters in the bathroom and elegant bedspreads couldn't cover up the tackiness of the rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lot's of inconsistence with staff in service"
The hotel is a beautiful place, but the staff in the lounge evening of the 4th and 5th of July was very inconsistent. The staff in the restaurant on the afternoon of the 4th were fighting about job's. The evening waitress on the deck of the firepit was amazing! The waitress in the lounge on July 5th was argumentative and very rude!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overpriced"
Hotel was extremely overpriced. Requested acking bed and received two queens. Room and hotel were pretty nice but not worth the high price tag.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for kids 8 and up"
My 5 year old daughter had a hard time reaching the knobs in the bathroom sink and there was no step stool. She had the same problem getting into the beds due to the thick pillow top. The pool at the resort has a rough texture and she scraped her knees and foot. The pay per view movies were unusually expensive and although there are some close redbox […] rentals the rooms do not have a DVD player so you would need to bring a computer, and cable, to play a movie. "Not as impressive as I thought"
Cheyenne Mountain Resort has beautiful views from its rooms (ours had its own small patio) as well as from its restaurant and patio bar. Our room was very dated in its decoration and noisy wall air conditioner. It did contain a few updates such as lavatories in both the bathroom and dressing area. This was nice. Staff at the restaurant and some staff […] at the patio bar were condescending and inattentive, as though they felt that we were inferior guests. Overall the room would have been forgivable, but the dining room staff ruined the experience. I probably wouldn't stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Cheyenne Mountain Resort You are kind to forgive the state of our rooms, but please know that we begin a full room renovation on November 22, 2010 that will include all 316 rooms on the property. I understand your disappointment if the service in the restaurant and the bar was condescending and inattentive. We are here to serve every customer with 100% commitment and it appears that you felt it was far from that. I hope that you might consider giving us a second chance, but I know we only had one time to make a first impression and that was not favorable, however I thank you for your candor.
"All about location"
The hotel is really convenient to all the major attractions in the area. Its nice for family oriented events and pleasure. The outdoor pool and lake were very nice for the family and kids to relax and have fun with. For the $ you spend you should get free breakfast but you don't! The dinner buffets are ok but not nearly worth the high price charged. […] They are convenient though. The beds are some of the worst I've ever slept on in a hotel. Room amenities are dated and bathroom ackward. We had one incident of an employee being very rude on the 4th of july. The rest were all very pleasant and helpful. Nice fireworks display which was a plus. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheyenne Mountain Resort - easy highway access"
The Cheyenne Mountain Resort probably is fantastic during summer months, offering several activities that are not available year round. Unfortunately, our trip did not fall in the summer season and not all activites were open to us. Rooms are spacious but fairly spartan. Beds were not comfortable, shower/tub combo not outstanding. Golf course excellent […] looking although we did not play. Indoor and outdoor pools that are located quite a ways from rooms. Conference areas looked like they were excellent, again, we did not use them. Lounge was fantastic with accomodating and extremely friendly service and tasty food. Very cool that their "arcade" is the Wii system. Not sure that is kid friendly in that it's located in the bar/lounge area. As far kids go, if you have active sportsy kids, they will love this resort. They have many things they can do with or without you. The resort is literally right off the highway and is extremely accessible to many local points of interest. So, GREAT location. staff, food, possible activities. Not sure it was the right fit for our needs on this trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
