Americana Café - Breakfast and lunch are available at this mezzanine-level coffee shop above the Midway.
Circus Circus is just a 40-minute drive from the closest of Lake Tahoe's 18 area ski resorts. Golfers can take a swing at 40 area courses around the Reno/Lake Tahoe area, 6 of which are within 7 miles of the hotel. Guests have use of a neighboring health spa, outdoor pool, and sundeck for a small fee. The spa has strength and cardio equipment, and large windows provide a view of the city and surrounding mountains. Access includes lockers, showers, massage services, steam room, and sauna.

We were a little upset that the Midway was not open as many hours due to it not being during summer vacation. It was the main reason we stayed at the hotel, for the kids to have fun. Checking in went well, quick and easy. We had to pay for Wifi though, we hadn't at any other hotels. The rooms could really use updating. The beds are not really that comfortable. […] The bathroom was spacious, however we had to push a little bar of soap under the tub drain to keep it up while showering, it kept pushing down and filling up with water. The Circus Circus Arcade is great for the kids. Entertaining shows in the Arcade in the evenings. Pretty old building but good service especially when Check-in & out. Gambling oriented surrounding so not much things to do with kids. Parking is free and flexible but watch out the low ceiling. I knew it wouldn't be as nice as what we are used to, but I still expect it to be clean. I kept my shoes on the entire time, and completely covered to get in bed. I wish the windows would open a bit for fresh air because it was still smokey in our non smoking room. We were put in the farther tower even though my father has problems walking. The lady at the registration was rude. The door lock on our room didn't work so we had to go through my daughters room to get in our room. Overall the cleanliness of the room is ok but aside from that everything else thumbs down. First of all we waited in line to check in for about 1 1/2. When it was our turn I asked the lady at the check in desk if there's was a convention because of all the people and she said "maybe" with an attitude. Secondly she didn't explained to me why she had to charge my credit card about $8 something when I have already pre-paid for my stay. Third, we stayed at sky tower which takes about 10 to get there since the tram is super slow. Last but not least the elevator is super slow at the sky tower. Check out is unprofeshonal. Siange from desk to elevators and instructions for staff were among the owrst I've ever had (or did not have). It's a kids playground so if you're alright with kids and babies screaming everywhere, you'll do fine. Also, the insulation from the door used to combine rooms is nil. "Wont stay here again"
We Friday at 3:15 PM and waited check in for over an hour. The line was there all Fri and Sat also. The people in the line looked like gang bangers and trailer trash and some were drinking already. I sent a note while in line and the hotel manager called us once we had checked into our room to apologize. The lobby where you check in is cramped, and […] there are no seats so everyone is camped all over the floor like refugees. The elevator dumps you into the same area. I reserved a smoking room but when I checked in they said they didn't have any. The manager worked it out and "found one". I was also charged a resort fee that wasn't mentioned on Hotels.com. Our room wasn't very clean, and the floor was dirty. We had the larger room with “antique” décor, but it was small and not very nice. We took the kids to the buffet, which they always love, but it seemed more like a cafeteria, but the food was ok, and the service was good. My kids enjoyed the games and activities in the circus area downstairs, which was why we stayed there this trip. Upstairs was full of rude ghetto people who let their kids run amok. The security staff was very nice and professional. If you want to have a good time there with your kids you will, just stay at the Silver Legacy which is attached and go directly to the games section downstairs. The quality of the people changes once you enter the Legacy. This is not up to the level of the Peppermill, the Atlantis or the Grand Sierra while more expensive. "Hope u don't need change!"
Me and my kids regularly stay here and have never been dissatisfied. Until now! I needed ones and all I had was 20's! Two bill breaker machines are not far from the lobby and escalators. The kids (3 and 1) and I went over real quick to get ones. We weren't there a full 3 mins and security was being called on me for my children "loitering"!!!!!!! They […] even had the nerve to tell me I needed to leave my children in the lobby! Unattended. A 3 and 1 year old! They've got to be insane!! (I got my ones anyway while security was making their way to me) if u are going to be so ridiculous then put a bill breaker in the lobby! "Busy but fun"
The hotel was very busy, sometimes having to line up to get on the lift, but that was the only thing that was unsatisfactory. The kids loved the Midway arcade area and my wife and I enjoyed (and took advantage of!) the free drinks you get when you play the games.
