We were pulling a horse trailer, the parking lot is really tight - so I wouldn't reccommend for large moving trucks or trailers. Otherwise it was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for what I needed"
Price is right and it was great for an over-night stay in the area I had errands in. Clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. Adequate breakfast. I'll stay there again when I go to town to shop and run errands.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall an OK hotel"
Beds/Pillows were uncomfortable but the staff was helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and convenient to MAX light rail"
The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was pretty good. The location was extremely convenient to the MAX light rail and we took advantage of that both days. Room comfort only suffered from a noisy refridge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall the room was clean; however the hallway carpeting was very dirty looking. The advertised breakfast was very poor, almost non-existent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean hotel, great price."
I had stayed at this hotel on a previous trip to the Portland area so I knew it was a clean hotel in good condition. I was surprised to get such a great rate though. Nice surprise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It's Cheap for a Reason"
Smoking is allowed, so of course the entire place stinks. The gal at the front was fantastic, but I was sorely disappointed once we got to our room. The toilet was broken and made an awful noise each time it was flushed. The bathroom light flickered creepily like a scene from a horror movie. The bed and pillows were hard. The window opened to an abandoned […] lot and nearby trash pile. I will say that the towels were soft. The continental breakfast consisted of waffles, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, and cereal (with beverages) and was only served until 9:30am. The spa was "out of order" the second night we were there. The location is very convenient for the MAX, but not in a very nice neighborhood. I'd definitely recommend spending an extra $20/night for a much nicer hotel in a much nicer area of town. "Won't go back."
Locatiion was good, the hallways smelled really bad. We heard people coming and going all hours of the night. Went to shower and water wasn't even lukewarm, ran water thru coffeemaker to have hot water for sponge baths. Best part was the waffles at breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A worth while exprtience."
The motels evening staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The location was within 15 miles of everything we wanted to do in the Portland area with easy access to the freeways or main surface roads. If you like using alternative transportation the MAX light rail was close at hand as well. Your not likely to find a place to dine nearby unless you’re […] into fast food but we did find one excellent small Chinese restaurant close. The motels complimentary continental breakfast is uncomplicated with very limited seating so go early or be prepared to wait in line for the waffle maker and or table. The motel does have onsite laundry facilities if you need them and a small spa. While I cannot rate this motel as outstanding I would recommend it to a friend as it is most likely one of the best accommodations you will find available in the greater Portland area in this price range and for us that was important, we will be back! Great hotel for a vacation in Portland when you don't want to stay or drive in the city. The metro is a block away and about a 30 minute trip into the city. There are plenty of restaurants, drug stores and a movie theater within walking distance to the hotel. Very pleasant experience especially for the price we paid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable for single person in town on business"
I was just in town for one night. The hotel was a little hard to find. I was not impressed with the neighborhood, but the hotel was adequate for my needs, and the room was a nice size.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Hotel for the Price"
Room was large and clean. The only complaint I have is that with todays cleanliness requirements from customers, all white linens would make the hotel so much more appealing. My husbands only complaint was the TV was not a flat screen. When we arrived we were a little concerned about the area, but soon noticed it was reasonably quiet neighborhood with […] a very well lit parking lot that was viewable from the lobby. The front desk employees were very nice and accomodating. We will stay here again as I am having medical treatment at OHSU and we live out of town. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"RUN AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL!!!"
Our experience in this hotel was awful! I don't know if it even deserves a one star. From the moment we walked down the hall, which smelled like body odor and cigarette smoke to getting into our non-smoking room that smelled like smoke terribly, it was bad. We had a pull out bed couch in our room that had not had the linens changed on it. So we called […] down to the office and they brought us the linens and we had to change it ourselves. Plus the mattress was horrible!!! The bathroom was dirty. Just overall, a bad experience. We will never stay in a Super 8 again because of this visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not so good"
It was just a place to stay for the night en route to our final destination, but in hindsight I wish I had paid a little more to stay at a higher quality hotel. The whole hallway and the inside of our room smelled like cigarette smoke. The very sweet and helpful woman who checked us in sprayed an air freshener in the hallway that only made it worse. […] Tried sleeping with the window open but the traffic noise was too loud. I woke up with a headache because of the smoky smell. Breakfast was very low budget. On the plus side, the people working there were all very kind and well-meaning. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best front office staff I have ever experienced."
Excellent front office staff! It was the best service I have ever experienced and was beyond a 5 star hotel service (and without the stuffiness). I was dealing with 17 high school students in multiple rooms and the front office staff allowed my bus driver to check in without me present (a quick phone call to warn them and a friendly response "of course") […] and no problems or hang ups with chaperones trickling in to check in. They welcomed all those teen agers with open arms. Was the best! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Upon check in, the desk clerk was unavailable and after about 5 minutes the housekeeping staff located him. As soon as we were checked in, he disappeared down the hallway again. "solo senior woman traveler"
The room had a microwave & fridge. It was close to the train for transport to downtown. No elevator - luckily I was able to get a ground level room. The faucet in the bathroom was not properly connected and had no stopper so that could do laundry. However, when I brought it to their attention, they provided a stopper. The sheets and blankets were very […] thin. The blanket had a cigarette hole in it . This was a nonsmoking room. They need to upsdate their sheets and blankets. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location next to Lite-Rail"
Stayed at Roadway Inn Gresham, terrible place so we moved to this place a couple blocks away. Same price MUCH nicer hotel. Highly recommended. A block from a lite-rail metro line that runs everywhere. Great home base for exploring, etc. Very good deal for the $$ spent. A+ in my book!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel for a young girl"
I had a great experience at this hotel! I am an 18 year old girl and felt comfortable and safe staying at this hotel alone. It easy to get to since the MAX drive one block away. The wireless worked fine, the staff nice, the room clean. A little noisy sometimes, but didn't spend much time at the hotel. Beds comfortable. Breakfast not the best, but as […] expected. I was definitely positively surprised and can recommend this to other people, students, girls who are looking for an affordable place to stay in Portland. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Non-smoking room has the smell of smoke. Old furniture. It was quiet except the air conditioning and we had a good night sleep. We are satisfied for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
About what I expected for a super 8 motel, stay away from the rooms next to the road, a lot of road noise. The front office person Becky was very nice and very helpful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fit the Bill"
It was perfect for what we needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The best facility provided is the hot tub. After a full day of travel and activities what could be better is to relax in the hot tub. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit tight. Breakfast was alright, with only 3 tables. So have to wait for awhile since everyone was waiting. It was a good stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's a Super 8, so..."
It was fine, it's not a 4 star hotel. Our room was overwhelmingly pinesol-smelling when we got there, (makes me think someone had been smoking in the room), but the smell dissipated eventually. The beds were comfortable, but the air conditioner and refrigerator noises kept me up. (I could have worn ear plugs which I usually do). But even though the […] hotel was full, I didn't hear any noise from other guests, which is great. It was just ok. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for everyone"
The location is great -- one minute away from a MAX blue-line station, so you could stay there and go anywhere you want in Portland with ease (or park your car, if you have one, in their large parking lot). My room was very comfortable, and included a sofa, a work-table, a chair, a TV, and even a coffee machine. The tub was great, and the shower-head […] was adjustable. The bed was a little too soft for me, and the internet requires login each time you start up your computer, but that's the only criticism I have (well, my room was upstairs, so I had to carry my luggage there, but I haven't asked for help, so perhaps you could if you need it). The facilities include laundry machines (open 24 hours), and they offer a complimentary breakfast. Best of all, Beky at the reception was wonderful; she's a hoot and a half. "You get what you pay for."
The furnishings of this hotel were outdated and in need of an upgrade. The comfort chair had tears in the fabric and the TV was old. The beds were also dated or of poor quality. The staff were very friendly!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet"
We were looking for a location close to our daughter's house that was clean, quiet and reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised! We also got a continental breakfast with our rate and it included waffles, which was a plus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean and Inexpensive"
When looking for a hotel I look for somthing that is inexensive but clean, and this was defiently the Super 8 in Gresham. Room was small and the tv made a very annoying sound but overall it was good. The rooms were very clean and the staff was so nice and accomdating. The location of the hotel was ok, the occational bum outside and the drunk people […] walking by on a Saturday night, alothough it is right next to the max and a very popular street, but hey thats why they say "keep Portland wierd". It was very nice that it was close to I-84 which takes you to the other major highways, so not downtown but easy to get to all the action. I will definetly go back to the Super 8 becuase i know it is clean and a lot cheaper then other hotels in Portland. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Gresham Super 8"
We were there for a seminar that was being held at a much more expensive hotel and this Super 8 was .9 miles away, making it VERY convenient. The folks that work at this hotel are THE BEST.. FRIENDLY and really helpful any time - day OR night.. but the hotel... . well, our room was very small (queen non-smoking) and it was directly behind the ice machine, […] so we heard that machine running all night long. The rooms were "tired", not sure how old the hotel is, but you can tell that it is dated. Continental Breakfast was OK - Hot waffels / oatmeal / fruit / cold cerial / muffins - they even opened up 45 mins early for us because we had to be gone by the time they open "normally" - so again, GREAT service! I would stay here if a bed for the night is all I need. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Super 8 in Gresham, OR"
For the cost this is a good option. Staff is great, hotel clean and breakfast being included saves time and money on a trip.
