It was just okay. We were there for the room, not the casino. The view to the north was breathtaking (from all the smog). Room was clean except for the Cheetos under the sofabed. The shower was either ice cold or scalding hot. It took me at least five minutes to get it right. The overfill drain was also coming apart. We needed a safety pin and asked […] the front desk. We got three of them but they were so cheaply made it didn't help what we needed them for. Parking is an extra $10 a day. We got breakfast room service since there was no continental breakfast. The waiter was nice but the meal was expensive (not unexpected). As far as the television, it was not user friendly at all. The guide menu was slow and cumbersome and was not HD. The room was very clean and plenty of room for the 5 of us. The fold out was very uncomfortable....even the kids complained. Bathrooms way too small. Coffee in room was great. Stayed here for business which I extended to include Speing Break. Kids loved the indoor pool even if the rules were scrict. Hotel was great for the rate I received. Room was a really nice queen suite which was plenty of room for 4. Only issues were the mini bar fridge was broken so nothing was cold and there's no exhaust fan in the bathroom- gets pretty […] steamy after showers. The restaurants and casino were connected to our horel which was very convenient and we were close to many of the tourist attractions. The arch was 3 blocks walking distance and Laclede's landing had night life and restaurants for all if us. Would recommend Lumiere and would stay again! Read more

The hotel was nice, near the Arch and surrounding restaurants and bars. I say wrong season, because although it was late March, we came just after a HUGE snowstorm. Who knew? All the nice restaurants with the outside seating did us no good. We didn't visit the St. Louis Zoo because all the animals were inside. Inconsistent wi fi in the hotel.

My family and I enjoyed our getaway, it was very relaxing. There were a couple of spots on the carpet, which for the price of the rooms, I think it should be a priority to take care of & to keep 4 star rating. Wish there was more light in bathroom & microwave in room. But did enjoy stay, room & bed was very comfortable....will stay again!

Don't stay here if you need to get sleep and get up early the next morning. There is a bar area in the atrium and people were drinking and being loud til I don't know when. Keep in mind the bar is on the first floor and our room was on the top floor. I won't go back.

Even though casino is a skyway away from hotel, teenage children not allowed to walk around hotel by themselves (like go to front desk or small gift area.) No one under 21 allowed in pool after 8 - the time when kids want to swim. Not at all family friendly. Kind of dirty and seedy. Would not recommend.

Perfect location to casino and downtown. Rooms big but outdated. Room service great and reasonablly priced. Front desk very nice..however as I have read before valet was not the friendliest...that being said Saturday evening he was only person working and he was busy. I would stay here again for sure.

Hotel staffers were friendly, knowledgable and helpful! Room was very acceptable. We were on the floor that tied into the casino, thus the carpeting and walls needed some upkeep. But overall conditions of the hotel were fine! Family has been staying here for many years and will continue to do so in the future...

You can't beat the location for going to a game. They have a tunnel with moving walkways that drops you off right in front on the dome. We pulled up and the valet told us. He was a really cool guy. If you want to know anything ask these guys. The rest of the staff was attentive, but only when they need to. We tried renting a movie in the room for the […] kids while we went to the casino and they said to wait 5-10 minutes and after 30 minutes and three calls and being hung up on without an explanation, nothing. I went down to the lobby to ask and waited some more, was told that it wasn't working. Something that could have been told to me after the second call. Or even the third call. Other than that, the hotel was beautiful, the rooms were great and spacious, the pool was decent. The casino was tight. Mostly older machines and mostly video slots. The slots with the reels were ancient. And barely anything paid out. There were very few new community player machines if any. No batman, reel 'em in, monopoly. As tight as the slots were you would think they could afford something fresh. I would stay here again if going to a game, but I probably would gamble. Read more

Checked in the room to find very very dirty floors , to the point you have to keep shoes on if not your feet will turn black , Also when we went to lay down , we noticed all kinds of hairs on the sheets as if they have not been changed , We called the front desk and they acted like there was nothing they could do about it , When I asked for someone […] to come change the sheets , they replied "You want us to send housekeeping to change your sheets?" Well yeah that would be nice , They finally send housekeeping and it took her about 45 minutes to change the sheets?? The toilet in the bathroom ran really loud all night long , also every time we left & came back we had problems with our keys , We had to go get them redone everytime we came back in ........... However, that meant close proximity to the MLK bridge and noise like distant thunder in the night. Ear plugs solved most of that problem. It looked nice in the lobby and the furniture in the room seemed newer and nice, but the bathroom had VERY poor lighting, the shower fixtures were falling off, and the toilet cover on the tank didn't fit had been replaced with a smaller one. The A/C quit working in the the middle of the night and would not cool the room below 75 degrees, at least that […] was bearable. We had trouble with the neighbors having a party, complained to the front desk that they were being loud and could they quiet down at 9:30 at night we were trying to sleep. Then at 10:30 complained again, the people seemed to be just as loud. They came up and told the people to please be quiet that the people next door had complained again, so the security guy brings them over to our room and introduces them to us and lets them tell us that they were just having a girls weekend and just having fun they were not being that loud. ??? Why would you bring the loud neighbors over to the people who were trying to sleep and introduce them? I called the front desk to have them take care of the situation, not so the neighbors could meet me. Now the neighbors know who we are and can slash our tires on the way out, Great ! So very un happy with the way the everything was handled. The hotel looked like it was nice until you looked at the details. Will not stay there again or recommend to anyone. Read more

We had a wonderful 2 day stay at HoteLumiere. Even though we did not go into the casino, we were able to eat at any of the casino's restaurants. Which we did with our toddler son, the restaurant staff went out of their way to suggest different foods that our son might like to eat. Also, all of the different hotel staff (desk clerk, bell hop, housekeeping, […] and maintenance workers) said hello to us and our son and all gave suggestions for things to do in the hotel like the pool and fountain, and outside attractions two gentlemen suggested the ballpark tour. Although the website for this particular hotel does not show a picture of their indoor pool I have to say I give it two thumbs up for sure! Our children had a wonderful time and it was a very nice sized pool for a hotel. The premises were very clean and the rooms were exactly what I had expected. I would not recommend this hotel based on a few factors. As I was swimming in the pool with my children, another family's 2 year old child fell in and my friend jumped in to save her. This was all witnessed by the Hotel's security guard, who did nothing, and did not even come in to check on the child's status. Close to the places we were visiting so it was convenient. It was fairly quiet and within walking distance of a number of restaurants. Bathroom was small but clean. Not sure that the sheets were changed before we checked in (black fuzz on the sheets...socks?) but all in all we'd stay here again. Good hotel for the price.

If you're looking to use the casino, this is the place for you but if you're attending a conference or vacationing, the rooms don't have microwaves, fridge has no place for keeping any items (just has the bar in it). Carpets stained, bathroom tiny, no electrical outlets. For the price I paid, Days Inn would have been better.

The hotel was less than what I expected. The room size was nice. Bathroom was small and no fan for bathroom. The toilet made an awful noise when flushed. The shower barely had any pressure. The carpets were stained. Some of the furniture was stained. We had 4 adults and 1 child in the room, but had to request sheets and comforter for the pull out sofa […] bed. The sheets on one bed were stained. Made a simple phone call and had new sheets brought to room. A free breakfast would have been nice. No breakfast places in the area. Super location if you want to go to bars. The casino was nice. The bar in the hotel was nice. The prices were reasonable. Decor all around in he hotel needs updating. The staff was nice. During check-in we were given wristbands for the pool. The hotel staff said he can only give 4 per room. But in the end he gave us 5 for each guest. Parking was convenient. I just didn't understand paying for parking when casino guests could park for free. The minibar fridge was worthless to us. Thank goodness we brought a cooler with us. There was hardly any room in the fridge. The elevators smelled. One of the elevators did not work properly. It stayed on one floor and would not move. But was fixed right away. Pool was small. Rather have had an outdoor pool. Hot tub was nice. We enjoyed that one early morning before all the kids came down to swim. Overall, I would not stay again. Location nice, hotel not so much. Nice hotel, and big rooms but didn't get housekeeping when expected during daytime hours. Staff responded right away after a call to the front desk. Indoor pool is nice, but not really an area to lounge- no loungers even present. Super easy walk to the Arch and Lanclede's Landing.

We recently stayed 5 nights at Lumiere Place. Everything about the hotel was amazing except for 2 minor details. The carpets are very old and stained, they should be updated soon. Also, the air conditioning never quite cooled off the room enough for our taste. Otherwise, loved the stay!
