"No mattress."
We booked a double bed room. We checked in and when we opened the door to the room it was one king in a room not much bigger that a broom closet. Went back down to the front desk and they said they were out of double rooms but they had a hospitality suite. Got switched over and went to the room. It was a nice sized room but no beds. It had a Murphy […] bed on the wall and a couch that made out into a bed. There were 3 of us. Me, my son, and my brother. The front desk brought us a roll away bed so we were good. We went out for our days events and when we got back to go to bed my brother went to make out the couch and it had NO MATRESS. No MATRESS!!!! How does a hotel rent out a room without a MATRESS. Call the front desk and they have no other roll away beds or a MATRESS. They offered for us to move rooms again and I refused. My brother slept on the floor. Best hotel in St.Louis. We stay here every time we go to a Cardinals game. I can't say enough about the gorgeous hotel, beautiful, clean rooms and most of all, AMAZING staff. "Steer clear of Valet parking."
It cost $24 a night to Valet your car which i did upon arrival. We had tickets to the Cardinals game for Sunday at 1:15 pm, we packed our bags and went down to the Valet to get our car go eat and go to the game. We waited for approximately 1 hour and fifteen minutes; which in turn made it to where we could not sit down and have lunch with another couple […] who stayed at the hotel, before the game. I had to approach the staff four times to finally get my car. One other couple had been waiting for longer and had been taken on a golf cart to look for their car, they discovered their car was not in the lot and had been stolen. Our stay was terrible! We were asked to move and thought that would be OK to help them out. We were told there was going to be a king size bed and a pull out sofa. There was no bed in the room they sent us to. After about a half hour they said they could move us to a room with a king size bed and a pull out couch . . . the room they sent us to was a […] handicapped room with 1 uncomfortable pull down bed and a pull out couch both with no sheets or blankets on them We called for housekeeping and no one ever came so my husbans went down to get them himself. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night . . . it was awful! My husband told them we were not satisfied and they said there was nothing they could do because we got our hotel on line from you. Then the girl said, " I guess we could give you 4 meals from the bar, not the resturant and 4 fountain drinks." No, we were not satisfied at all and very disappointed because we wanted a really nice hotel and not a cheap one! This Hotel came highly recommended by the COGIC housing . It was a mess The reservation clerk did not want to honor what was stated to me when I made the reservations with Expedia,. The room was not clean and only double beds. No one likes those. Had to request towels. Would not leave coffee cups or drinking glass most days. The restaurant was very bad. "Brutal"
We checked in and didn't have air conditioning. WE reported this at 4:00, 7:00, 9:00, and 2:00 AM. Still never got it fixed. When we asked to move rooms the staff was rude and not very helpful. "Chaotic"
The staff at this hotel simply don't care. There is simply no other way to describe the utter disregard for guests. The hotel itself is split into two with a busy street dividing the property. Upon arriving at the hotel we were told to go across the street to checkin. After lugging our baggage across the street, surprise surprise, our rooms were actually […] back at the first location. "Poor excuse for a so called "4 star" hotel"
Most of our experience with this hotel was bad from the start. First we arrived but could not park because the hotel parking garage was full (shouldn't a hotel have enough parking for all occupants?) We had to park in another garage three blocks away and were not offered any service or assistance in getting our luggage from the garage to the hotel. […] Next the elevators were not working so we had to take the service elevator (just gross, sticky floor, and smelled). The room we were assigned reeked of cigarette smoke. I called the front desk and told them this and the initial response was "Sir, all of our rooms are non-smoking". After arguing several minutes about the fact that someone had smoked in that room, a lot, they finally moved us to another room. Other than that the hotel is just old and is shows. The carpet is stained, desk chair was worn out, walls looked dingy, etc. Overall not a good hotel experience. We have stayed in nicer hotels for way less cost in STL. I decided to book this one and pay a bit more because it was supposed to be a nice place. Such a disappointment... On the plus side there is a nice bar downstairs and it is in a convenient location. "Staff here sux"
I booked a suite, the front desk put me in a room. When I returned to the desk to advise them of this, they instructed me that the suites were across the street in another building. They did not offer to help with moving my bags there as my car was already valet. Retrieving my car was another story in itself. Everyday it was at least a ten minute wait […] for my car. If you can find the staff you will instatntly notice they are very slow and not attentative at all. They were more interested in the FIFA cup than working. I would never stay here again. "Worse experience"
We signed up for the breakfast package and both days we had to justify it. How difficult it is to keep the record up. So you eat your breakfast and then justify it. It feels as though we are cheating to eat. No refrigerator in the room when the temperature outside is soaring. There is a place for it surely but no refrigerator. You can't talk to the […] hotel admin coz they are rude and will simply transfer to the manger. The manager is all defensive and rather than accomodating, he asked us to call back and check even after I told him that I want to get a room with a fridge.
