My son and I stayed at this hotel for a conference held there. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful from the vallet staff to everyone we dealt with inside the hotel. "Very comfortable, and adjacent to Arch!"
I had *just* stayed at the Crowne Plaza next door and had to move over to the Hyatt on New Year's Day due to lack of availabilities on my final night stay at Crowne, and oh my goodness the Hyatt is so much better than Crowne, for about the same price / night, and they are right next to each other! My room had a near-direct view of the St. Louis Arch […] (the corner windows were designed so you can see the arch). The beds were so comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and spacious, there was even an iPod dock to play music! There was hot water when I turned on the tap (unlike Crowne next door), I was able to control the exact temperature of the room, the walls are thick enough so that I don't hear the conversations next door, and the hotel staff were all really nice. The hotel itself is also really nice, with a steakhouse, a sports bar, and a Starbucks right in the hotel. The elevators are split between the lower floors and upper floors so even though I lived on the 12th floor it took me at most 15 seconds to get to my floor! The hotel is located right next to the Arch, and also only a 7-minute walk to the MetroLink subway station (that can take me to the airport) and a 15-minute walk to the dome and convention center. Finally, the hotel is located on "hotel row" on 4th St. which makes it really convenient if you need to visit friends at the other hotels. I recently stayed at this hotel fir fall break. Everything was great except breakfast, it was a buffet and we found the service terrible, the waits never took the dirty plates aqay, you had to ask at least three times to get coffee, waited a long time fir the check. "Disappointing"
Due to the high reviews we choose to stay at the Hyatt When I went to throw out some trash in my main room I noticed the trash can was full, of food, tissues, liquids, ect. I decided not to call to let them empty the next day Then when I crawled into bed that night I noticed how dirty and stained the sheets were not making me feel comfortable about […] the overall cleanliness Next day housekeeping comes does not refresh my coffee or take out the trash that was there when I arrived! Before heading out for the night I called to ask to have them bring me coffee and empty my trash The coffee was thrown all over the bathroom counter, rude, and the trash was still full! Since the trash was not mine and really gross I placed in the hallway later the next day the trash can was removed, and not replaced so I had 1 trash can for my 5 day stay that may or may not get emptied. So housekeeping, horrible. Not only did they not refresh items they also did not clean the room at all Each day they simply made the bed and provided fresh linens I was there for 5 nights cleaning would have been nice While the housekeeping was awful and really affected my stay, other parts were good The concierges were wonderful very pleasant and helpful each time we asked The breakfast buffet was great, and the omelet maker was amazing Even with this great parts I would not recommend this hotel due to the overall cleanliness . I really enjoyed my stay this past week. For a one night business stay it was very convenient, located next to many good restaraunts and provided an amazing view of the Arch. I was impressed by the workout facility, one of the best I've seen all year. As a frequent business traveller it was a nice surprise to find such an updated workout room. Starbuck's […] located on the first floor was a nice touch, in addition to the 3 restaraunts. My only complaint is the parking valet option. I don't mind the valet, in fact I chose it over self park. But when I come down the next day, valet the car back to the front entrance, don't make me go down to the parking garage and get it myself. Valet it back. Doesn't make sense. As always, Hyatt is Hyatt in service. The location is fantastic..right acrossfrom the Arch. I had a Arch view and it was gorgeous view at night as well as first thing in the morning. If you can bundle your breakfast into deal, fantastic option. Overall very satisfied. The Hyatt Regency is a great hotel in downtown St. Louis next to the Arch. It is one of the more modern hotels in the city. The staff is soooo friendly, accommodating, and knowledgable as well - not a combination that is common. The rooms were just as good in terms of modernness, cleanliness, and comfort. There was a good-size fridge and nice 2-seat […] dining table. 2 recommendations I have for the hotel: 1) place complimentary coffee & coffeemaker in the room (although there's a coffeeshop in the lobby, some don't have time to make it down there) and 2) more drawer space (in addition to the baskets). Great hote loverall, Staff and service is excellent, only two issues: Had the breakfeast package, however it started at 7am, bit of rush everyday trying to get breakfeast in and be at my course before 745.
