Hotel room was little dingy and needed updates. Everyone was nice and pet friendly was key! Service at check in was friendly, but better instructions regarding arrival needed. "Great location, but needs some updating"
For the price, we probably wouldn't stay here again. The location is amazing - right in the middle of all the great shops on King street, and we were able to walk everywhere. The room needed a little help. I'm all for historic charm, but when there are scuff marks on the walls from chairs (needed to be painted), wallpaper peeling off in the (teeny tiny) […] bathroom, and a tub/shower that showed black (mold? dirt?), it wasn't awesome. It wasn't bad enough for us to complain, though I'm sure some would have. We weren't in the room all that much so we were fine. Other positives: great free breakfast that we had delivered to our room for no additional charge. A really nice plus. All in all, a neutral visit. Didn't love it and didn't hate it. "Hotel with convinience-close to great shopping"
The hotel is a landmark and does offer charm, but lacks easy maintanence in common areas. The room was quaint and comfortable and offered better cleanliness than halls and reception area.
