The doors heading into the hallway don't seal properly, so you can hear everything that's happening in the halls in painful detail. Overall the hotel was nice - it is almost done being remodeled. The breakfast was wonderful, the décor was modern and the location was convenient. The hotel had a new feeling to it which was very nice. It was also very clean. There were just a few things we found odd. Not horrible, just not what you expect There were no clocks in the room. The Blackout […] curtains - actually all the curtains - do not close all the way. The way they added the pulley to close the curtains left about a 5 inch gap. I like the room dark when I sleep so this was annoying. Also, you had to make sure you got dressed in the bathroom and not in front of the “open” curtains. There were two phones in the room – one did not work. There was an ironing board in the room, but no iron. There was not a fridge in the room – we had a baby with us, so we had to get ice several times to keep the bottles cold. There was not a working ice machine on our floor. We asked for a late checkout (2:00) and we were hold we had to sign up as a preferred customer in order to get this. Not a big deal, just a little hassle. The HIE was what one would expect for a commuter inn. The grounds and building were mainstream - clean and orderly. Think of a Howard Johnson's if you are of a certain age - i.e., grew up in the 60s and 70s. One can hear the people next door - voices are muffled, but you can hear them. Our stay was good except for lots of noise in the hallways when we were trying to get to sleep. Someone was allowing their 4 children to run up and down the hall playing, yelling, and bumping the doors while he slept on the couch in the lobby. The trash containers at the entrance were overflowing onto the ground and the employees coming to work in the […] morning walked right by them. Otherwise, we had a good stay.
